Impressive debuts:Brandon Roy- 20 points, 10-16 shooting, 2 assists, 3 rebounds.Rudy Gay- 21 points, 8-21 shooting, 0 assists, 8 rebounds, 4 blocked shots. (Triple OT)Adam Morrison- 14 points, 5-13 shooting, 2 assists, 3 rebounds.Thabo Sefolosha- 11 points, 4-4 shooting, 1 assist, 2 rebounds.Ronnie Brewer- 9 points, 3-5 shooting, 0 assists, 2 rebounds.Jordan Farmar- 6 points, 3-3 shooting, 1 assist, 2 rebounds.These are only the players worth noting.
So far my Rookie of the Year is playing like one in Brandon Roy. Rudy Gay was also very impressive, he hit a couple shots down the stretch for the Grizzlies. I am excited to see how these kids develop this season.
Ty Thomas had only 4 points, but 5 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks on 1-4 shooting and 2-6 from the line /) in 16 and a half minutes
What did I tell you guys about Rudy Gay? I know it's only one game but he's a future star. His shooting was off but hot damn he had a great game. Brandon Roy, wow, if he's a stable presense at SG this team could be better than many thought. Marcus Williams had 7pts/8rebs/3asts as well. This class is pretty underrated...it's going to be fun watching these guys this year.
Marcus Williams- 7 points, 2-9 shooting, 3 assists, 8 rebounds. Not worth anything Tony? Not bad for a 22nd pick.

If you are going to note Jordan Farmar's stat line, you have to note Rajon Rondo's (6 points, 4 boards, 3 assists). And Tyrus Thomas played very well on opening night as well. Marcus Williams, who's been mentioned, with the 7/8/3 line.- Brandon Roy is by boy (wow, that is very catchy)! He has always easily been my favorite rookie in this class, I'm happy he had a great debut (and Portland even got the win, imagine that).- Rudy Gay's stat line looks great, but I didn't notice the 4 blocks! Wow. He also hit 2 big shots late in the game.- Morrison started off hot apparently, and I saw him hit a ridiculous buzzer beater in the highlights. He might end up starting afterall if Gerald Wallace misses time.- Thabo impressed me on opening night. He's long, can play the 1 at times, athletic, good defender. I like Skile's comparison to Doug Christie, so far pretty accurate.- Ronnie Brewer - I love this kid. He's very athletic, good defender, can play and guard 3 positions - what's not to love? But did anyone see his 1-handed oop? ridiculous elevation.- I'm surprised Farmar is getting some run early on. He even played in that 4th quarter on Tuesday night.

People knocked on him in college for not taking over a game like LeBron, but every time they did that they failed to mention he played with Marcus Williams, Josh Boone, Hilton Armstrong, Denham Brown, etc. He played with a bunch of college stars. And by the way, in college you rarely see a player really take over a game by himself because they all play for their respected systems. If they really wanted to let him do it, Rudy Gay would have average 25/8/4 in college, but it's not like that.

I guess you cant technically call Anthony Parker a rookie, but he's been out of the League for 4-5 years. He finished with 22 points in his first game, and played great D as usual.
Kyle Lowry had a great debut also. 10 HUGE rebounds for us and defensivly was great. If you saw him play, you might even think he did a better job than Gay in the OT's.
Ill just keep this going... Brandon Roy 19pts/6rebs/5asts 9/11 FT's. Rajon Rondo 7pts/6asts/5rebs Adam Morrison 21pts/0rebs/0asts

I don't think you can judge his play solely on statistics. He helped keep the excitement in his team and helped his team get enough momentum to win. His play was better than the stats say.
