I dislike his lack of ability on the defensive side on the court and I've mentioned it several times this season. But there's no need for fans to say something like, "F you, I hope you tear your ACL."
We lack patience just like every other fanbase - but I still hold out hope that Meyers will develop into an asset.
I don't think Meyers will ever amount to anything at the NBA level, but damn, saying shit like that is pretty fucked up. I'll keep hoping a miracle will happen and he'll suddenly understand the game of basketball.
It's one thing to say "Leonar_", It's a whole other (and completely messed up) thing to wish injury on someone else for the mere fact you have no control over a situation.
It's a handful of extremists, on this site and others, who continue to wish the worst for "Leonar_," while simultaneously giving the supposedly NBA-ready CJ McCollum every benefit of the doubt. CJ is older than Meyers, too, and was drafted higher, yet he gets a free pass for some reason after what has been a bust of a rookie season. I say give both of the young players a chance, and I hope both make big gains this summer, and dominate in the summer league.
Leonard is mentally weak. I hope the best for him in Portland, he's a project and again, is mentally weak. I'm hoping he works on his game this summer instead of just lifting so he can get swole.
I still have the highest of hopes for Leonard. As long as he works hard in the summer, he has too much natural ability not to succeed. He may never be a great defensive center, but he has the soft touch of a Duckworth.
If I was a betting guy, I'd take that bet. Despite not being good, he has shown some amount of aptitude for some aspects of the game. Example: when he grabs a rebound he looks to make an outlet pass to get a fast break started. In the limited number of games I've watched I've seen him make several beautiful outlets that lead to an easy 2 points. Contrast that against LMA who waits for the entire back court to clear out before handing the ball off to a guard. Leonard is terrible on defense, and that's pretty much the only reason he sucks. If he can learn to either be an adequate man/man defender OR an adequate help defender then that'll be enough to keep him in the league. All it takes is the proper coaching.
Ive always liked leonard. Everyone feels the need to jump on him since mo got better. Focus your anger on refs and lakers. Leave our players alone!
This trainer sounds really good with very tall men. http://www.stack.com/2014/03/31/paul-sturgess/ I think I'll hire him for myself.
Man... I can't imagine sending a message like that to anyone, let alone a player on my favorite team. That's just horrible. Sometimes I really hate people. They can be so mean for no reason at all. Simply because they can.
Really? Not even...Raymond Felton? Haha. Actually, the only player I've had that much vitriol for is Derek Anderson...and kinda for Outlaw. But Outlaw was too dumb to deserve that level of hate.
