Ha! Lemmon 714 came after Rorer, both 300mg doses. After Lemmon stopped making them, counterfits from Mexico may have been a little more potent.
Has anyone seen 'Transcendence'? Is it as good as the trailers reveal? (oh shit bob, it has to be at least as good as its trailers....) good is a relative term.
...ya know what, now that I think of it, you're right...I had it bass-ackwards. Rorer WAS the original methaqualone. Maybe I did more than I should have...lol... Still the best drug I ever did, along with hemp, which I still use in the evenings sometime to help me sleep like a baby.
...the thing I really like about them was that you could drink all you wanted on a Fri or Sat night but if you also did a "lude" (or "disco biscuits" as we called them)...you would sleep like you wouldn't believe and wake up the next morning feeling great, no hangover. ...the down side was driving while on ludes...you THOUGHT you were driving OK, but in reality you were all over the road. Still don't know how I and/or my friends didn't get killed from doing those things. I recall that a running buddy and I stayed out one night late drinking while doing ludes. He had a brand new Lincoln Mark IV or V and he called me up the next morning and asked me I was OK and if knew what happened to his car and I said "no"... so he said "You need to come over, you ain't gonna believe this shit"...so I went over to his apartment which was near mine. The whole right side (the side I was on) was absolutely destroyed and one of the right side tires was flat and had obviously been driven on so far that most of the rubber was gone...neither of us had any recollection of what had happedned the night before...we were lucky.
Great story 59-LMAO I often wonder how any of us ever survived the days of our wild and younger years.
...oh, I have many other stories of my youthful years and my self destructive behavior. Now, when I think about them, all I can do is shake my head and say to myself, "WTF were you thinking"...no way I should be alive.
I barely remember the 80's and I was born in the 70's... 2 decades before that, I doubt many remember
Life before the nanny state. I'm am 100% OK with shedding all these fucking rules and going back to when life meant living, risks accepted.
It was a very good movie but they took a lot of liberties with it. Much of which (from what I heard & read) never happened or was at the least exaggerated. But all in all a very enjoyable movie. I finally got to see Dallas buyers club. And DAMN! you could understand why he won best actor. And why Leto won best supporting actor. 2 excellent performances.
...oh yeah, I'm sure they spiffed up the real story to suit the movie. ...and yeah, aside from acting out his role, Matt had to lose a ton of weight...he really looked like someone who had been stricken with AIDS. ...and Leto was great too...as a man, how do you prepare yourself to portray a trans-gender guy/girl?...and you have to figure that when he first read the script, something in his head said, "Yeah, I want that role".
Solid movies for sure. You go into movies like Captain Phillips knowing they're going to throw some Hollywood in there. As long as they completely rewrite history it's all good. The overrated movie I thought was Wolf of Wall Street.
All is lost with Robert Redford, very disappointed. It was basically a silent movie. Which makes sense since Redford is the only actor in the movie & is set on the water with no one to talk to. So all you really hear is the sound of the water. In a word, it SUCKED!
...Wolf was OK but a bit over the top IMO, good story and all but what tainted it for me was knowing that Dicaprio was in it...just not a big fan of his.
Not a Leo fan? Have you seen Django Unchained? He's turning 40 this year, your gonna see a lot of him.
