Crazy stat. We simply do not win game 2's. The way we operate. This one is a new level. 2-0 lead. Now too many men on the ice. Funny stuff. Honestly, outside of a good 15 or so minutes I thought we controlled the game, but that doesn't matter. They win series where I knew it would be. Now we go to a crazy building Tuesday night. We'll see.
1-1... As Chuck and others have said another long physical 7 game series is upon us I really thought the Rangers played pretty well today. Held Giroux to no shots again. Flyers were better, they played a really strong game After watching Emery in the past 2.5 periods I am kind of ready for Mason to come back
Not upset. We came out on fire. Took a 2-0 lead. We sagged and the Flyers manned up. Outside of that stretch I thought we controlled the game. Now we go to Philly 1-1, which was always going to be the way. And we will come home 2-2 next Sunday. Oh well...just another great chance blow. Nothing new to see here except blew a 2-0 lead...that's the shame here.
Not so sure. If they don't want to come home down 3-1, they need to pick up their game on the defensive side. They blew a golden opportunity!
Cmon Al - Flyers played a very good game today. They play like that they are very hard to beat. I still think we will win this series but we arent winning the next 3 in a row
I thought we played pretty well also. Tip the cap to Philly. They raised their level when the game was on the line. We wilted for that stretch only...and it cost us.
I expect us to split in Philly but agree they gotta tighten up D and not give them pucks off the boards. Lundqvist also let in some rebounds today
The Flyers played better but you need to win games where youre up by 2, thats an emotional letdown theyll have to get past.
We will win a game in Philly. Not sure what is complicated here...7 GAME SERIES. I thought we outplayed them big time once it was 3-2. Out chanced them. They controlled the game for 15 minutes or so and won it. Tip the cap.
As a fan, I expect the goalie to give up a few rebounds. As a player, you have to expect it as well and pick up anybody around the goal who may have an opportunity on that rebound. It's not like Hank made easy saves, and just carelessly gave up a rebound; they were good scoring opportunities that he had to go all out on. The defense has to be ready, and they need to get that puck out of harms way.
And they never will sc. No different than Ottawa, Wash, NJ...on and on. How we operate. The 2-0 lead after the great performance was the Rangers playing with their fans a little...LOL.
