Ill admit it was a horrid call on howard for the foul out. But I dont care because he got away with so much murder and traveling all night.

Bad officiating both sides, but that was pay backs for the phatom call on Rolo. Fuck Dwight.

I know what Joel was thinking:

    "YOU! SHALL NOT! PASS!"

I slipped a 50-buck IOU to Scott Foster with your name on it.

Overall: okay. Parsons definitely out-played him. However, a lot of what Parsons did came off of great shooting and was largely unnoticed in the 2nd half. Maybe Nic backed off him a little too much, but I'd prefer to give Parsons a moderately defended 3-pointer than let him drive the lane and put foul pressure on Lopez. He made those shots last night, but again, I think you live with that rather than take your chances with the alternative.
But he came through when it was most needed, whether it be a key defensive stop, a three-pointer, whatever. He rebounded very well. I'm sure people are saying he could have looked for his shot a bit more, but with the way LMA and Wes were playing I like that he just took the obvious shots (one clunker that I can recall) and shot a good percentage on the shots he took. But offensively he knew to keep tossing the ball into LMA.
Overall I think everyone on the team played really well...except Wright. Every time he was in the game the team just sucked. I'd much rather see Barton or Claver getting Wright's minutes. Barton would put so much more pressure on HOU's defense, and could gum up their passing lanes on the other end of the floor. The only thing Wright did well was act as a decoy to pull Howard out of the paint for one play.

No, not at all. The ticky tack shit that goes on all game was pretty even. The aggregiously bad calls were easily 4 to 1 in Houston's favor.

Dwight said the Blazers didn't do anything special? Bullshit. The Blazers beat the favored team, in the playoffs, on their home court, against ridiculously bad home cooked officiating, with some really heroic performances. That was a big win. And oh, was it special.

Wright played?!? Holy Crap really? Wow...that's some keen eyes. Did he even touch the ball? Like maybe a rebound or a shot attempt? Couple of dribbles and a pass perhaps? ...Waste. Any minute of Wright needs to be given to Will or T-rob. Small or big I don't care but there is no way Wright brings enough intensity to make his presence known.

The officiating was bad, but after all the 1st half calls going to POR you had to know the 2nd half was going to go to HOU.

Batum with the perfect defense, and Freeland with the boxout to prevent the tip in.

FTA were 40 vs. 39. PF were 33 to 32 - and many of those were hack a Howard. Seems close to me.

Joel did it all on that play. Totally cut off his drive, then boxed out on the rebound. So good to have him back.

Why do people keep acting like it was a bad call on Dwight? I saw it during the game in live action: Dwight wraped up Freeland with both arms and pulled him toward him. The ref wasn't calling Freeland's forearm on Dwight, he was calling the initial foul. After all the cheap shots and holding Dwight got away with in that game, and the other play where Dwight fouled Freeland and got free throws out of the deal, that call was overdue. I don't expect the national media to admit it, though.

Again, Dwight fouled Freeland with the kind of 'vet move' (grabbing and pulling the defender and acting like the victim) that usual goes the other way, just like LaMarcus fouled on a pick that usually doesn't get called. But they did. It was the right call.

Yeah, I'm gonna crash now. The light of day pains me but my coffin is light-proof. I'll return with the wolfmen later.

I'm just glad Charles Barkley gave us some credit for once.

    Am I right?
