Seeing that religion is defined as being "a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe", meaning atheism, evolution, and so on would fall under that category, then yes, you could say so.

    I think you can. But, I don't think it's a true belief.

Not can you have a religion, but not believe in God...If you go by the dictionary definition, probably not. Everyone has their beliefs and is with a group who believes likewise (I think, anyway). I think for all practical purposes, however, one can believe in God, but reject the need for an organized belief system to back them up.

I don't like religions but believe in God so maybe. It could be just because I'm too lazy to follow rules like go to church on football Sunday or pray 5 times a day, or fast, or not eat pork, or not eat bread group products for that passover thing...

I've always thought of religion as established processes of how one is supposed to worship God, as well as the reults one could recieve from it. From that definition, you can probably guess my answer.

Personally, I've always wondered how someone can recognize God, but still think He'd leave us alone without any Manifestations, and thus, religion.

Sure you can, you just don't do anything about it (religion) then. It's called apathy, or is a form of it anyways.

Yes you can. In fact it's like religion only without the close mindedness, wars, intolerance, unecessary loss of human life, money hoarding, superstition, ignorance, waste of time, meaningless rules, stupid beards and those assholes who always showup at you front door.

From my 19 years on earth, here is what I gathered. There are what, thousands of religions out there and most say something along the lines of, "If you dont follow our faith, your going to hell." Now what is that? How are you truly supposed to know what faith to follow, when most people follow the faith they were raised in. It's a lose/lose situation. My psychology professor told my class that monkey/apes etc. have a 98% DNA match with humans. That makes me a pretty strong believer in the evolution theory myself. But I also believe that all of the written history out there about a superior being has to have some sort of truth behind it. To look at that from another perspective, how much hard core proof do we have besides written documents, scriptures etc. that a superior being did exist. We have some I know, but not the many in retrospect. Im not a religion buff by any means, I actually think of myself as below the bar so to speak, but Im a realist and find it hard to believe all the religions out there. I think there is some sort of superior being, but the evolution theory can't be ingnored.

religion is a heap of pompous people telling you how to act and how to interpret the bible (or religous book of choice eg -book of islam) . They profit off the fear of dieing that most people have. Thats the worst thing about religion and the bible its to open to interpretation. I think it wasa written as a history book not a guide to living right.I believe in god but Loathe religion and more to the point I hate religious people.

I say: F*ck religion. The world and sh*t was made in one way, not the 948387 different ways that the 8423987 religions describe. I find religion useless and not necessary to get through my life.

I don't really have a religion, however..I do believe in God, and I believe that the Lord sent Jesus to die on the cross for us. I do read the bible from time to time as well, but I'm the most religious guy ever; but I do ask the Lord for fogiveness every day, several times. So, I do believe in God, yet my religion is just, well, "believing" and having faith. I guess you could say.

belief in God is a form of religion IMO.If you believe he exists, then you have faith. If you choose not to follow a church's direction in how to worship God, it's still religion IMO because of the belief.
