Assuming each team had the exact same roster in 5 years, The only thing that changes is the age of each player.Who would be the best team in the league?
Lakers. Might be good in the future they have Bynum who is gettting better every year. Kobe will be a vet for all the young guys and I am sure he willl still be a monster. Kwame is getting better him and Bynum are a good combo for the future. Odom will be in his early 30s and will still be more than useful.DENVER. Gerge Karl is getting JRs act together and JR and Melo in the future. But how about the cavs? They have Shannon Brown and Daniel Gibson in the future along with the player who will be the best in the L LeBron. THey are going to have a dominant back court. My pick Cavs
I like Boston a lot, they've got a lot of young talent. another team I think will be good is Portland, Brandon Roy looks to be the biggest badass of this draft.
Im going with Milwaukee and Bulls. Only age problem the Bulls have is Big Ben, the others will be in prime in 5 years. And the Bucks have a great young frontcourt in Bogut and Villanueva. Also, Simmons and Redd wont be that old in 5 years and Mo Williams is only 24 or 25 I think.

Odom will be 33, and on the decline, there's no way the fakers are up there.Denver? No! K-Mart is already crappy and adding 5 years of age, he'll be even worse. Camby's like 30 ish already I think, so he'll be ready to retire. Andre Miller sucks anyway. Basically the whole team would be on Melo and JR's backs.Cavs? Ilgauskas will be 36, and around retirement. Marshall will be 38... They won't have any big men aside from Gooden who's not that good.
That fakers stuff your talking about is really getting old so why don't you call them the lakers like everybody else. Anyway I 100% agree that the Lakers can be one of the top teams in 5 years as long as there players continue to get better, Kobe continues to improve his passing game and the GM brings in some more guys thru the Draft, Free Agenecy, Trades, whatever it takes to help this team get better.Boston Celtics Seatle SonicsOrlando Magic those are just a few other teams I think can get better in 5 years.

That means since you don't understand it, YOU DON'T DRAFT, TRADE OR SIGN FREE AGENTS.And I was thinking about starting to call Mr Derp and the fakers by their names, but since it bugs at least SOMEONE I'll stick to it. Thanks for letting it get to you.
Pacers will be goodA mature 33 year old Jermaine O'neal who will be more of a leaderA 29 year old granger in his prime ( :shok: )A 32 year old Harrington (will be an excellet shooter by then)orien green, josh powell, rawle marshall will have a better understanding of the game and will be borderline top 25 nba players.Alot of talented new draftees who will have been picked by walsh and bird so they will be goodand most importantly of all ... a 44 year old darrell armstrongjust kidding.

Stop including the Pacers in every single thread that we have. Rawle Marhsall, Orien Green, and Josh Powell just outside the top 25? That is one of the biggest jokes that I have ever heard. They will be lucky if they ever become a 6th or 7th man on a team. Granger is the only bright thing that this team has and he wont be able to do it alone. JO isnt going to be JO in 5 years. Stop being such a homer. please

With the way he plays, he can continue to be around a 30 ppg scorer for another 7 or 8 years. Lamar will be 32, so he will still be affective. Kwame and Bynum would be 28 and 24, and assuming they both keep improving at the rate they are now, they'd be a deadly frontcourt. Jordan Farmar would be 24 or 25 and a top 12 point guard in the league with his athleticism, driving ability, court vision, and defense.

Then you have the rest of the roster that will at least put up ten ppg between the rest of them and that would be at the very minimum. Also, you would have over 40 rebounds between 4 guys. And guess what....those players arent that good! Rawle Marshall isnt going to do sqaut, you have Danny Granger as an MVP type player, and you have 4 guys on that team averaging over a block a game. Two of which who have over 2. Im sorry, these have got to be the WORST predictions I have ever seen. Straight up.

Right now, you Pacer fans are infatuated with them like certain Mavs fans were. Bottom line, both were undrafted for good reasons and both are not players you say 5 years from now will be part of a core that sits as one of the best in the NBA. That's just stupidity. You can make arguments for Harrington, O'Neal, Granger as core players. The others are reaching, like a reach-around on a 1000 pd woman. And why bother with writing out all those statistics? What a waste of time, I bet you none of those match up exactly in 5 years.

There's a reason Bird and Walsh gave him a guarenteed contract. I could see him as a 14 almost 15 ppg scorer.Danny Granger MVP type player? please. Maybe DPOY. I'm sure there's many players who will be averaging 30+ who will win mvp by then.We have the athletiscm to average 40 rebounds with 4 players.Shawne Williams - unbelievable athletiscm, one of the best shot blockers in college - should be able to carry that into the nbawe all know how well granger can block shots - well those who know something about the nba know itO'neal can average 2 bpg even at 33, no question about it.
