Beltran first pitch swinging is all I will say.

Can someone update me on the first inning, and how the Yanks got those 2 runs?

I just turned the game on, a bit late.

How did Mr. Splitty do as well, in the first inning, no hits, no walks, what???

Laissez les bon temps roulette.....! HooYah..:chestbump:

Jeter RBI single after Ellsbury triple and Beltran with an RBI single.

Gotta love what we're seeing tonight. 4-0 but should be a lot more if not for the DPs that Beltran & Ellsbury hit into with runners in scoring position.

Yeah should've knocked Lester out of the game.

Just like that it's 4-2 after two bombs. That's why you have to take advantage of opportunities. This game should've been 8-0.

What the Hell, is Tanaka already tired? Looks like he wants to cry after giving up those bombs of runs.

    Yep, it should be 8-Zip.

Tanaka wrapping his throwing arm and hand, drives me nuts. Reminds me to much of Rick SuckCliffe. tho' Rick won a Cy Young, what could these guys do, if their mechanics were sound enough to extend their throwing arm....Pitching 101.

Odd how many MLB players do not heed Fundamental instruction, yet go on to be All Stars. Makes one think how much greater they would be, if they maintained the proper fundamentals of play.

for instance, Tanaka is throwing 94 mph heat. Given a proper mechanic, (not wrapping the throwing arm) could easily give him another 4-5 Mph on his fastball, and his splitter to fall off the earth, at a fastball speed....just my 2 cents, no complaints, just observation.

But then who the hell am I, to say, or judge, I'm just an old man, who's seen the good, bad and fugly.

Lester has been complete garbage all night. Should've knocked him out of the game already even though he's done at this point.

Ellsbury back to haunt his old mates. A two run double 7-2 Yankees.

Ellsbury really is some player. You just cannot appreciate it fully until you see him every day. 7-2 which should be more but I'll take it.

Good job by Tanaka minus the two absolute bombs he allowed.

I was a huge fan of getting him. He's a sparkplug. I think his injuries were from trying to do too much. Between him, Gardner, Beltran and Suzuki, one heck of an array of the 5 tools.
