I hear you Al, and do agree. Rangers are the better team. Just been letdown too many times by them when it was win and we are in amazing shape games. As for Sather, no one has been more critical of him than me, but he has done a really solid job this season. Added Pouliot. The Cally trade was a HR as I said when he made it. The MDZ trade was a good one as Klein is a solid 3rd pair guy. Adding Carcillo was a sneaky very good move. Adding Diaz was a sneaky good move (we have some depth on D). Brought Girardi back on a great deal. Didn't make a dumb signing of 6 mill or more per for Cally. The McDonagh deal was a great one. Hank's deal was solid (500-750 K too much but not awful). He has truly done a very solid job this season.
the MSL trade was the type of move we needed given the current state of the team and the weak conference. However, he is a short-term move only and it's hard to expect him to keep beating the odds (production @ his age is very rare) for too much longer, so we need to make the most of it. Also, maybe we should be thankful to Cally as his contract demands ($ and NTC) where the reason he got traded and if he had been reasonable on his next contract i think Sather would have just resigned him and we wouldn't have MSL
It is one game. A very good win. It is JUST one game. Need to keep the foot to the pedal. Take advantage of their BS and put the biscuit in the net. Never give them an opening. It is just one game.
