I know one thing. He's the best player in the playoffs so far. No denying that. Enjoy the moment, MM.
I'll say it again: Enjoy the moment. There is no sense in following sports if you can't be happy when your team does something good. Especially if you've suffered years of anguish waiting, hoping, dreaming and yearning for that something good to happen. Victory is fleeting, so make the most of it for the little time we have it in our grasp.
I'm enjoying the moment. Feels great knowing our team is up 2-0 with two games one being only one day away to be played at the Moda Center.
So it's only ok to discuss National writers if they are positive? What if they are both positive and negative? Please help me understand the unwritten rules of the forum
I did not know much about Whitlock so I googled. I found this most non race baiting column. But some people figure only white dudes can write/talk about racial/gender issues, otherwise it's race baiting or race card or man hating. I found this column thoughtful even though there were things with which I disagreed. Just a reference.http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/whitlock-riley-cooper-eagles-wr-n-word-gaffe-offers-perfect-time-to-evolve-and-learn-080113
I did not say that he nothing but a race-baiter. I did not say that he is not a good writer. I did not say that he is not thoughtful. What I did say is that he is a notorious race baiter, ie, that he quite often seeks to magnify the potential racial aspect of situations in which race is, in reality, an inconsequential part of the story. Inferring anything more than that is you bringing your own assumptions to the table--not that I'm surprised.
I guess some people just have to be nasty. Looking at you, Platy. And the platypus such a nice animal, too.
Well said. I was pessimistic when losing, for sure. (That's why KS ignored me. ) But, it's just the mounting frustrations... now that we're doing good... just living in the moment. It's a damn good time to be a Blazers fan right now. And that's all we have is right now.
Thank you for repeating that, Strenuus. Thread was getting nasty - seems Blazers fans can't keep up good feeling for more than half a day. Maybe if they win it all?
