Haha, I thought this thread would be in the BBW gameday.Anyway, Arenas is already in his groove, the Celtics can't let him have a big game. They need to take care of the ball espicially around Caron Butler. He will make you guys pay with a steal and breakaway dunk like he did against the Celtics. What's the update on Szczerbiak?

0-3, ugh. We played bad defense, we couldn't stop Arenas like I expected (told you dogma), Jamison worked us on the block like I said (told you dogma lol), and Butler had a good game. We made too many stupid mistakes. Turnovers kill us. We got 20 turnovers tonight, and only forced 10. That's not going to cut it, especially when Arenas basically toys with your defense (at least I think what he did was supposed to be defense). We rebounded very well, that's a plus. But overall not a good game. The only thing that kept us in the game in the first 3 quarters was Washington in early foul trouble.

Wally Szczerbiak
33 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists on 10-16 FG, 4-8 3FG, 9-9 FT
Wally was absolutely ON FIRE tonight. He was exceptional offensively tonight and he really hustled. He took it to the rack more than usual and he made all his FT's. Very good job by Wally tonight. He did have 4 turnovers, but excellent night.

Paul Pierce
23 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists on 6-14 FG, 1-5 3FG, 10-14 FT
Pierce played good all-around ball, but he took a couple dumb shots in the 4th quarter and he didn't play very good defense. Solid night, he really helped on the boards as usual, but he usually is a lot better offensively.

Sebastian Telfair
24 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists on 8-12 FG, 4-6 3FG, 4-4 FT
Bassy!!! He finally showed up and had an excellent game. He hit all his open 3's, he attacked the rack in the 2nd half, he made a lot of pretty kickouts to Wally, and he ran. He obviously did a poor job of containing Arenas, but nobody could stop him tonight. Not Telfair and not Jason Kidd. Offensively, great job Bassy, I was waiting for this game.

Ryan Gomes
6 points, 7 rebounds on 2-5 FG
Gomes was working hard on the boards, but they need to get him a couple more shots per game. He's should be getting more open shots from 18 feet. Granted, it's understandable tonight with Pierce starting off great and Wally on fire all night, as well as Bassy. But from now on, I think he should be getting about 7, maybe 8 FG attempts per night. Also, Jamison abused him.

Al Jefferson
10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block on 5-9 FG
Big Al had another very solid night. He showed his post game a little bit and he got some boards. He really stayed out of foul trouble until the end of the game too (ended up with 5). But I'll tell ya, it must have been 6 times (no lie) where Al had position on the block and they swung the ball to the other side. GET IT TO AL WHEN HE'S ON AND OPEN! If they actually got it to him he could have had at least 4-5 more post shots off.

Tony Allen
9 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists on 2-4 FG
TA played a very good game tonight. He passed the ball extremely well, he took it to the rack without forcing it or turning it over, and he ran hard. My hat goes off to TA for finally having a good game.

Rajon Rondo
4 points, 2 rebounds on 2-3 FG in 14 mins
Not a great night for Rajon. He had a nasty acrobatic up-and-under layup and he hustled as usual, but he was the #1 guy that didn't get the ball to Al when he had position and he gave Arenas too much space.

Delonte West
5 points, 1 assist on 1-3 FG in 11 mins
Delonte didn't play much tonight, and when he was in there the size mismatches didn't go so well with him. When he was there, he didn't go a bad job though. OK.

Gerald Green
3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal on 1-3 FG (1-2 from 3) in 7:22
When Gerald was in there, he did alright. He had one Tommy Point as soon as he entered the game.. he stole the ball and dove on the floor for it, which started a break in which we scored a 3 on (Wally). He really jumped for boards, and he nailed a 3. He missed an easy putback though, but he showed heart. This kid needs to play more, man.

Michael Olowokandi
2 rebounds in 7 mins
O played pretty well again. He changed two shots in the lane and he rebounded. He's really helping out a lot when he's in there. Keep it up Kandi-Man.

Kendrick Perkins
4 fouls and 2 turnovers on 0-1 shooting with no rebounds in 11 mins
TERRIBLE. He couldn't stay in the game (fouling), he played bad defense, and he got too frustrated. Perk is really dissapointing me lately.

This game was not on Doc. He did a good job with the subbing and he didn't go super small. I have no problem with what Doc did tonight, it was all on the players. 20 turnovers is completely unacceptable.

Next game: Wednesday (11/8/06) at home vs. Charlotte. If we don't win this Charlotte game, I don't know how we are going to get a win that whole week (vs. Utah on Friday then @ Cleveland on Saturday). If we don't win this game, it could very easily mean a 0-6 start.

:ranting: Come on C's! Last in the division, last in the entire Eastern Conference.

Don't feel special about the turnovers thing. The Wizards has shown they've improved their defense since day 1 one of training camp. The Celtics couldn't stop the transition game the Wizards had tonight. I thought the Celtics had a great shooting night, but so did the Wizards. :happy0144:

I knew we were going to win. But, I didnt think it would be as close as I thought it would be. It was too close, we should have clamped on defense a bit more at the end. Arenas was beast. Jamison did pretty well, and so did Butler (told ya, Dogma). Butler really never has an off game. He may not be shooting well, but he'll always get a high amount of points. That middle school that Gil is helping out is VERY lucky.. Props to Wally for being better than I thought he was, but he's still weak. Pierce was Pierce, and Telfair did suprisingly good.

Looks like NBA Dogmatist was wrong.Gilbert Arenas: 44 points. Looks like the Celtics couldnt contain him as well as NBA Dogmatist thought they would.Oh yeah, Antawn Jamison: 29 points. Looks like he DID abbuse Ryan Gomes and AL Jefferson.

OH MY GOD people. will you lay off? I said those were the keys to the game. IF the celtics did that they would win. and they didn't do that, so they lost.
