Despite there are games that are going to be played tonight. Lets just talk about who will be the player of the week for the homepage. I think the obvious choice is Lamar Odom. He lead his team 3-0 and is racking up the stat columns with 28 points,8.7 rebounds and 7 assist pergame. Another note is that Odom was able to lead the Lakers without thier superstar, Kobe Bryant vs. one the the elite teams the Pheonix Suns. Odom deserves MVP honors this week.

Lamar defenetly deserves it but Im gonna think outside teh box, Im gonna go with brandon Roy, not as much for his stats which are solid, and great for a rookie, but beacuse of the impact he has had on the Blazers. Hes taken arguably the worst team and made it a decent team so far, if he keeps thsi up he will defenetly be rookie of the year, and will becoem a stud

I will go with Allen Iverson. Got the game winning shot for the 76ers and dropped 40 points.

I'd go with either Lamar Odom or Allen Iverson... we all know what Odom has done, so I won't get into that.Iverson may be a homer pick, but consider that he has scored 71 points and dished out 16 assists in the first two games of the season, and that only two other players in NBA history have scored 70+ points and piled up 15+ assists in their teams' first two games of the season (Larry Bird in 1987 and Nick Van Exel in 2001). Not to mention he has the Sixers off to a 2-0 start after hitting the game winner last night @ Orlando...

my homerism is attacking here, but Carlos Boozer: 22 and 15 in two games for the 2-0 Jazz.

MVP: Lamar OdomBut the most improved player so far (from what I have seen) has got to be Barbosa. He is a beast!

Lamar Odom has been great, don't get me wrong, and he's #2 on my MVP of the week list. But don't count out LeBron, wow I'm surprised nobody mentioned him. He's averaging like 30/10/5 with blocks and he just had an outstanding game to lead Cleveland to a win IN SAN ANTONIO. That's amazing, and he's been sensational. LBJ is my pick to win MVP this season.EDIT: ugh, typos

Lamar is averaging 28/9/7 on insane percentages. Unbeaten. It has to be him.
