The NL West right now seems like no Team wants to stay in 1st place. Bums lost 5 of the last 9, defense is off, bats silent to often. Greinke dealt a hot hand to Philly, 9 K's in the 1st 4 innings. 11 in 7 innings, and 2 Runs (doubles) by Greinke, helping himself with his Arm and Bat. Frisco a half game out, (where oh where did the super freak Lincecum go, did his haircut do a Samson-Delilah number on the 2 time consecutive Cy Young Award Winner ? Diego, one game out of first. All a Team has to do to take over the NL West is play .500 ball, as has been the NL West Norm for a decade or two, simply play .500 ball...bullshit...these teams aren't playing up to their own standards. Nothing like last years hot sizzling Bums run, after the All Star Break. someone light a fire under these Teams asses...!!! [/QUOTE] When the Giants won the WS in 2010 the won the division going 92-70 & in 2012 they went 94-68. But you're right about this year, it seems like the first team that has a 6-7 game winning streak is going to run off with the division.. And yeah, Timmy lost his mo-joe when he lost his hair. I still can't believe the Giants resigned him. 2 years @ 35M.
Sandoval needs to start hitting and they need another starter maybe, dodgers are definitely not scaring anybody though
Just an observation from watching their games, sandoval has been under .200 all year. watch a lot of giants games?
The clock approaches midnight, and the pumpkin turned into a Panda...! I doubt he eats only bamboo, perhaps he should stick with a green diet.
...just an observation from someone who knows that if it's early for one player, it's early for all...watch a lot of calendars? ...but yeah, Sandoval, Mike Moustakas, Jhonny Peralta and Brett Lawrie et al, will all finish the year below .200
And this is a contract year for Sandoval so he better get his shit together if he expects a big contract from some team.
cal·en·dar ˈkaləndər/Submit noun 1. a chart or series of pages showing the days, weeks, and months of a particular year, or giving particular seasonal information. ...learn the term ...BABIP...learn the game.
Because you avoided it earlier, are you watching a lot of giants games this year? Not the last few years when they were winning championships and on free TV, but this year? Didn't think so. are strikeouts balls in play? Sandoval is on pace to double his career high. He looks like shit right now. I'm sure you knew that though, watching giants games all the time, and not just basing this off what, baseball reference? Meh I pegged you for an ESPN guy.
...like I said, a lot of players, to use your term, "look like shit" right now...only a novice would point to one month as a barometer to gauge a player's year while conversely saying that another player is sure to improve. The players I listed look bad right now too...should I add David Freese, Colby Rasmus, Chase Headley et all as other examples before you wrap your head around a simple concept? ...and wtf does watching Giants games or not have to do with anything?..I didn't "avoid" your comment, instead, I dismissed it as irrelevant. This is general baseball knowledge 101 , as is BABIP as well as other stats. Giants games?...who cares?...I've never been inside a refrigerator before either, but I'm pretty sure the light goes off when you close the door.
I can't speak for 3RA1N1AC but I think what he's trying to say is that the more ABs he (Sandoval) gets the more difficult its going to be to get that average up. But you really can't measure what a players numbers are going to be after less then 100 ABs. I'd be more concerned if he was still batting under the Mendoza line at the halfway mark of the season. Though I also wish (being a Giant fan myself) that guys like Sandoval, Pence & Posey numbers were better, its really to early to panic.
...no, what he said was that Posey will surely improve but Sandoval is lost. ...To quote, he said, "Posey will be fine its early, but Sandoval looks lost out there". ...the rules and law of averages is the same for both players, not just one. Both players will improve....and Sandoval's anemic .197 BABIP reinforces that ...just as with Peralta, Lawrie, Moustakis, and the other players I mentioned...but yes, you're right, it's way too early too draw conclusions about anyone re way or another, base on less than a month of ABs.
The Panda may of lost 20 lbs, but looks like he still needs to shed another 50 lbs. A pumpkin 3rd baseman, far from being a literal Giant. Your right 59, that troll shit stirrier thread IS Irrelevant, considering the source....
DUPLICATED POST- Damned PC has a mind of its own.....winds at 50mph constant, with gusts over 60mph, wreaking havoc on my I-Net connection....
You've taken this odd crusade in your old age, I never said Sandoval wouldn't be fine. Early onset dementia maybe? What's next, squirreling away food in your trouser pocket? Panda looks like shit right now but he might just hit 3 home runs in a WS game for the giants again this year. But boy does he look like shit.
