I hated that trade from the start. Dubi playing amazing right now. 6 points with 1 goal, Nash 4 assist. Most importantly Dubi's contribution is much stronger than Nash's. I am not even saying anything about AA. The guy brings his passion on every shift. Nash is ghost who plays only last 5 min of the game. I would rather have Dubi, AA Cali right now instead of St. Louis and Nash. That would have been a great line that plays tough and with passion and at least we would have beaten the Flyers for sure. I would have matched the battle level. Right now MZ is the only guy who gives 100%. Please trade Nash after this season. I just cannot stand watch this guy play, especially when matters most. This could have been our team right now: Hagelin Stepan Richards Dubi AA Cali MZ Brassard Puliot 4th line I think that team is much better that what we have now. Let's watch this team lose to Flyers and then maybe Chuck and Disturbed would finally agree with me.
2009, cage, and 28...love you 3 guys...LOL. This is certainly what the focus should be going into a monster game in an hour. 28 thinks we have no shot to win. And cage, while not as bad, is pretty darn negative as well. What can you do. We are all Ranger fans, we just get there in a different way.
nash plays what appears to be a soft game every game, like girioux he's not doin a thing either... either 1 gets hot series can go either way
Did you guys see last 2 min of play? Nash was amazing! He was skating around everyone. Why? Why can't he play like that every shift? Why Dubi does? Why Cali does? Why McD does? The guy is lazy! That is the only explanation that I have. Please tell me.
I get Dubi has had a good series vs Pitt (has played in 1 more game than Nash and has a grand total of 2 more points). He has played with energy and has in many ways brought what we hoped Nash would bring. Outside of that point you are delusional 2009 Cally and AA?? Dude we had those guys and couldn't score in the playoffs. Looking at their production this year I can see why. 2 ps for AA and ZERO for Cally. Callahan now has 15 pts in his last 36 playoff games. And he wants 6.5m+ Uh no. Seriously dude your team is playing a game 5 on home ice to take a lead in the series and you are lamenting 3rd liners you wish you had who are not that great to begin with. Nash needs to play better. We agree and get it. That trade hasn't worked out as planned but just stop with the rest. I watched Callahan do nothing in his sweep. I will take St Louis who has more goals then your man crush Dubi in 1 fewer game AND actually has a track record of playing well in the playoffs in his career. Game 5 is 30 min away and 2009 is going to throw some playoff games from 2008-2012 in the DVR to watch Dubi and Cally do nothing
You are right about one thing 2009, Nash coasts too much. That is a HUGE issue. CBJ game when he was crazy fired up, he was a monster all over the ice. Last shift when it is do or die, he was a monster. He needs to ALWAYS play with that level of passion, fire, and emotion and he simply does not. Which is why I keep saying his issue is no killer mentality. No killer instinct. He is simply too nice. He does not have that mean streak to say night after night this is my game and I will die on that ice. He just doesn't do it. His natural skill level is good enough to still net him nearly 30 every season, but if he played with that edge every night he could be top 5 in the NHL. Sadly he just doesn't have that in him.
Their is no way this team is better without Nash or St. Louis. I like Dubi, and the Rangers miss his toughness but he's not going to change the outcome of a game with his toughness.
Exactly Jam. People should bash Nash but going back to AA and Cally like they are the missing pieces is crazy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a hunch that he will have a big game today then will disappear in the next two if necessary. Thats what Nash does. I will take at least one big game from him. LOL And with dubi, aa and cally we would be scoring even less in the playoffs. These guys are Torts type of players.
And BTW...that team you list 2009 is NOT better than what we have now. Enough...let's focus on the game and winning a huge game...not worried about Nash versus Dubi and AA. And BTW...Cally did NOTHING as his team got swept. So that comment on MSL versus Cally is flat out stupid bro.
Am I missing something? 2009 that's pretty much the exact team we had except subbing Brassard for Gaborik. We saw that team's ceiling. Get over it dude. We won today by the way. That must have really pissed you off huh
The haters will hate Prod. They know who they are (HUGE hole tied 2-2...LOL). All I know is we would be in much better shape if we had Cally instead of MSL. No doubt.
Dumbest post in a long time but what are you gonna do. Unlike CBJ and Dubi/AA were up 3-2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I love my Rangers. I never miss a game and watch pregame, postgame and extra also, and go anywhere from 5 to 10 games per year. Maybe you guys right and my team wouldn't give a different result this year. I am just tired of the big named players coming in and doing nothing. I am talking about Nash right now, St.Louis is really really good. I was not that upset about Caly deal, I would have been upset about Giradi trade though. I dream about Rangers be like Chicago with core players playing year after year. Our team is different every year.
Well I will give you credit 2009 for not wanting Nash from the start. He had a good reg season last year and was ok this year but playoffs are a different story he looks lost out there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That would be nice, but unfortunately we havent had the luxury of back to back top 3 picks. Cally was tough to see go because I had always considered him part of the Rangers core. But his contract demands showed that HE didnt see himself as a core Ranger. We did what we had to do there. The current core of this team is Hank Staal and Girardi. The future core of this team is Kreider Stepan and McDonagh. That's not bad. To have a homegrown superstar you either need to pick high or get really lucky in the draft. If not, some of the lesser home-grown guys are going to have to be shipped out to get the talent in here that's necessary to win. Can't play favorites with Dubi and AA just because they came thru the system.
2009, that team you list is 3 3rd lines and a 4th. You're way off base. As for Nash, he has been frustrating with the lack of goals, but I think the effort has been there this series, he's just being taken out of things by Philly. Let's not forget Giroux only has one goal so far himself. And I'd say he's part of our core, he's in his prime with another 5 years or whatever, and a 30-goal scorer. He not homegrown in the core but he's definately there with HL, Girardi, Staal, Mac and CK. Let's hope if they move on and play Columbus he'd be fired up and breakout.
