I've never seen a game with such a combination of bad calls, terrible and great plays in crunch time.

The series should be over right now, Portland has actually out-played the Rockets rather handily, but the games have only been close because of the fucker-ees.

That was an insane game. For the first three quarters I was thinking we're going to lose the game, let a 2-0 series lead go up in smoke, and lose the series in the mist humiliating way ever. Just sitting envisioning more Blazer playoff agony ahead. But thank god we pulled it out. So many ups and downs. Bad plays. Blown calls. Just about anything you could think of. This was the series tonight - if we lost tonight, we would lost the series.

All I can say is Wes in the man. Love that guy.

The amount of self-righteous butthurt in that thread is nauseating. Their team's main offensive strategy is "generating FTs". In other words, flop and hope the refs bail your ass out. Howard throws someone to the ground and they call it "boxing out." They think LMA "mugged" Harden on that 3 that he missed. At most, LMA was too close on Harden's landing, but if we want to complain about that, Houston has gotten away with that every time they've done it this series except for last game when Mo landed on Parsons' foot. That one was really obvious though. Their legs got tangled up and both went down right at the ref's feet. It's not like LMA got Harden on the arm or body during his shooting motion. Harden just missed and flopped hoping to get bailed out like he always does.

Houston fan says "lets all get on social media and start a petition for a federal investigation of the NBA referees" LOL.

This game wouldn't have gone to OT but Harden got free throws from that obvious flop on Wes right when Blazers got the steal. Would have closed out the game.

Wow these guys are fucking tools! Don't they see that Houston had 12 more foul shots than we did? Are they that stupid in Houston? Mediocre Man needs to go in their forum and give them a taste of reality.

I would like to know how this crew thought about P. Bev taking out Westbrook while calling a TO and how classless that was.
It's so sad that they are trying to get one last foul call in their favor. Didn't they watch the whole game and saw how much went in their favor?

Basically acknowledging that they need the refs to be massively in their favor if they have a chance to win. Tools. We got a couple of calls/no calls down the stretch (ball out of bounds off Dwight at least), but for the entire game, and even at the end, Houston had many, many calls go their way.

I didn't post in the game thread because I knew it would be heated while the Blazers were struggling. I now look forward to reading it.

Pretty much. Moreyball strategy relies on them getting to the free throw line (besides 3's, dunks) but the flopping doesn't work as much in the playoffs. And they lead the league in free throw attempts so their fans are spoiled. Houston still went to the free throw line 8 more times than us.

Lopez fouled out in the 4th and Howard only got two fouls which is BS so he got away w/more aggressive plays, moving screens. They just assume the Blazers shouldn't go to the line that much because we're a "jumpshooting team" but that was in the regular season. Guess they've never heard of playoff adjustments w/Aldridge, etc attacking the paint more in favorable match-ups.

Ok, I'm done whining about Clutchfans, lol. Got it out of my system, sorry :)
