The players he added last summer have come up HUGE. Mo Williams - huge in game four. Dorell Wright - huge in game two. Robin Lopez - where would we be without him to guard Dwight? Robinson - his effort and his hustle have made a difference in the games that he's played in. I can't wait to see what Neil comes up with this summer.
Someone should yell that at TRob whenever he makes a play. "Cap space! They traded you for cap space!"
I want to see more of Robinson. In 6 minutes he logged 3 boards, 2 points, an assist, and a wicked block on Dwight Howard. I love his energy and his hustle. He's exactly the kind of guy I want in the playoffs.
have we seen him really try to defend Howard in the post? As in, do we have any idea if he can? He's big enough (since Howard's not but 6'10"), quick enough, likely strong enough...I'd like to see him have a shot. More T-Devil at center for game 5, please.
Sunday's SF Chronicle had a short take on RoLo and how much he likes it in Portland, saying he's a pretty weird guy and fits right in. None of these guys are stars but they sure filled a lot of holes.
I felt that LaMarcus was doing a poor job trying to rebound, UNTIL Thomas came in and lit a fire under the team.
I wish Stotts would play him more. His hustle is what's needed when Houston goes small. I think all Stotts has to do when Houston goes small is bring in T. Rob and it's negated. Lets see if Stotts sees this.
I actually like the way Stotts has been using Robinson - small doses seem to inject some energy and hustle into the team, but if he's in there for too long you can almost hear him spinning up like an engine that's about ready to blow. Maybe in another year or two, the game will have slowed down enough that he'll be key cog in the lineup.
I agree that he shouldn't play big minutes, but at least 5-10 a game. Use him only when the Rockets go small. T. Rob is a beast at getting boards and being a help defender.
I think that's how Houston actually announces him during the rosters....At foward, T-cap space-Robinson.
How did Dorell go from being a three-point specialist all season, to a block machine in the playoffs?! I believe he now has 11 in this series!
I think Olshey's next move should be to obtain Lopez 2.0 and bring Brook in to come be 6th man of the year. Smash-bros tag team!
