The Rocket players once again saying they gave another game away and beat themselves isn't bulletin board material, though. This must be a tough series for you. You have to pretend to somewhat like the Blazers, yet it's obvious your allegiance is somewhat divided. You're either bashing Blazer fans, or bashing Blazer players. Meanwhile, the entire city of Portland is giddy about the team. Oddly, the posters that don't live here seem to be the harshest critics right now.
The fans? Shit it was the announcers that were screaming that he should get sanctions. I love the comment about how Mo Williams is "known for that kind of thing." Really? I've never heard anyone say Mo is known for being classless.
The way I see it, Houston is going to be super hyped up for game 5 as it is "win or go home" time for them. Any pseudo-controversy that Blazers or Mo are classless will help pump up the Blazers more than the Rockets.
Yeah, it seemed out of character for Mo, yet it was smart on him to put Daniels in the spot-light. I'm sure some reporter is going to bring it up to Daniels, which makes Daniels a focal point in the series now, and not a wildcard.
Mo is so soft spoken and mellow whenever he's interviewed, but I've definitely seen the fire in him come out. He's not afraid to mix it up with anyone. He definitely has a competitive spirit, and I think that's what happened at the end of the game. I also think there's more to the story than we're being told.
I honestly dont see how it can be notched up, this series has already been turned up to eleven. The Rockets have shown their very best and the refs have given their very worst...
Even if there isn't, the fact that a D-League guy who has been playing at an MVP level offensively is now a part of a story that has Houston fans and media upset can only be a good thing for Portland. If Daniels shoots any better, he's the greatest shooter in NBA history. I expect him to regress to the mean, and also for Stotts to try and exploit his defense.
Meh, he's hit a few threes. It's not that big of a deal. The fact that Houston has had such shitty production off the bench is the only reason why he's playing and why he's been notable. He is their Dorell Wright. It's not like he's doing anything other than hit threes. I'm not impressed.
You should be. He has an Ortg of 193 and a WS/48 of .337, fer fux sake. Not sure what else the guy would need to do to impress you.
Just what they needed. More fuel to the fire. Just wonder what the kid did to piss off Williams. Kind of thing that makes one player snap and throw himself at the ball. He He
He went 4-5 from three last night, and he had that phantom foul on Wright. He's shooting well, but it's such a small sample size. Part of that is because we're leaving him wide open. He is single handedly carrying their shitty bench. I think it's a great story that he came up from the D League, but I think he has a ways to go before I'm going to be impressed. So far he's a one trick pony. He can hit wide open threes against a team that knew nothing about him. That will change.
Of course I do! It's been impressive as hell to me, though. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it in the playoffs. Without Daniels, this series is over right now, because Houston doesn't win Game 3. The Rockets are having to play a D-Leaguer, yet Parsons, Howard, and their fans say they and the refs are beating them, and not the Blazers. Side note - odds that the XMas night game next season is Houston @ Portland? Or, a day game of Portland @ Houston?
