Andres Nocioni received interest from several NBA teams last summer and said he could revisit a possible return.

Nocioni averaged 10.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in eight NBA seasons, most notably with the Chicago Bulls and the last of which in 2011-12 with the Philadelphia 76ers. He has since played overseas.

"Europe is a great, great place to play basketball," Nocioni said. "I came back here because I sat on the bench a lot in Philly and that was frustrating for me because all my life I have played. But my situation has changed a little bit. I don't need to play as many minutes. I'm too old.

"So maybe I go to the NBA and try to enjoy a good organization and try to help young guys and the team to win games. I think about playing more like a veteran helping with fewer minutes and more experience. But I have no decision now. I'm not thinking long-term."

Those quotes make it sound like Nocioni is contemplating retirement...or at least semi-retirement.

I'm not much of a "let's get the band back together" kind of guy, but more important, I don't think Nocioni is good enough to be a rotation player on a contender. I'll pass.

Nocioni. Re-sign Kirk. Lu is a FA who might be cheap enough. Ben Gordon is a FA, too.

I agree Transplant. His name is more nostalgic than anything.

It sounds like he is willing to be a cheap end of the bench guy chasing a ring. We could do worse if that is really his agenda.
