The Rockets played spectacular yesterday beating the WC Champs 107-76. The Rockets last night did much better on there free throw shooting, Shooting at 83%, 25-30. The Rockets were also 53% from the field and 50% from the 3pt. line. I myself didn't have the chance to watch the game but judging by the stats, we played awesome. McGrady was off last night only scoring 8 points. He was 0-3 from the free throw line :thumbdn1: and got 4 personal fouls. I guess part of the reason why he was limited to 22 minutes was because of a small laceration on the tounge. I really don't know since I didn't watch this game.Yao played golden. 36 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks. My last preview, I said he was the X-Factor. He controlled the paint, dominated on the offensive end and was aggresive. We're seeing the old Yao back in March :winkglasses:. Yao hit all his freethrows, 12-12 and only missed 4 shots from the field. Not to mention, He did this all in 36 minutes. That's like a point a minute. Overall, Great game from Yao.Another player I'd like to comment on is...RAFER ALSTON! He played like his best. Almost racking up a triple double. 14 points, 12 assists, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. 4-10 from the field, 4-6 from the 3pt. line. Nice game from him. Lets hope he can keep it up. Luther Head and Kirk Snyder also provided a great game also. Luther Head scoring 17 points in 20 minutes. 3-4 from the 3pt. and 6-8 from the field. Kirk Snyder did a nice job getting to the line. He hit 6-6 from the ft. line. and also hitting 3-6 from the field. Equalling up to 12 points. The Rockets last night did a great job in containing Jason Terry, Limiting him to 1 point. The only concern today is McGrady and how he will play today and also our defense. We can't be sloppy on defense or else we're done. New Orleans is a very strong team lead by Chris Paul. We cannot let Peja open and we also can't forget about West and Chandler. I think Yao and Battier will do a good job in controlling the paint though. We also need to rack up our rebounds. When N/O Hornets played the Pacers, Tyson Chandler had 8 OFFENSIVE rebounds. We gotta be aware of that. Altogether in that game they had 19 offensive rebounds.X-FactorsHouston Rockets: Shane Battier. Battier needs to contain West and stop him from getting looks inside the paint. Against Dallas last night, Battier played horrible. In 33 minutes he only managed to get 4 points, 2-6 and 0-3 from the 3pt. line. If Battier improves his game today, we are going to have a good chance at winning this ball game.New Orleans Hornets: Tyson Chandler. If Chandler rebounds like he did against the Pacers, I think the chances of us winning are low. He got 15 rebounds against the Pacers, 8 of them being offensive rebounds. If he manages to get that much again, he would be able to pass it out very quickly and then N/O would have a open shot. Keys to a Win- TMac. C'mon man...Last game he wasn't in his groove at all. He needs to take it in and be more aggresive doing it. The more he gets to the line the better we are. Even if he does get to the line a lot, he needs to work on his stinkin' free throw shooting. It's horrible. He's shooting like Shaq out there.- Rebounding. If we want to win this game, we gotta rack up the rebounds. We cannot allow the Hornets to get 19 offensive rebounds on us as they did on the Pacers.PredictionWe just gotta play it smart, rebound and hit our free throws.104-99 Rockets.

6:00pm CST...is what in Eastern time?I hope T-Mac has a good game today, and I think he will, as long as he looks for his own shots and stays aggressive.

I know I said it yesterday, but I really do think T-Mac will have a BIG game within the next few games. Because Desmond Mason can't handle T-Mac, I think tonight could be the night. He NEEDS to be more agressive in looking for his shots, NEEDS to take the easiest possible shots, and NEEDS to go with the flow of the offense the best he can.Rockets looked fantastic last night, and with Bonzi back, Yao playing well, and T-Mac slowly getting back, this team is already looking scary.

Wow...The Rockets came back and are leading by 2. Despite McGrady's horrible shooting, McGrady is making all the plays right now.EDIT: Rafer needs to calm down man. He's taking it too fast.

Well....-T-Mac had a bad shooting night again, but also came alive in 3rd and scored 8 in that quarter. Had 7 assists, 7 rebounds and 2 steals, and was getting good looks. He knocked down his free throws, so it's slowly, slowly coming back. Not a terrible game, just his shooting needs to improve.-Yao was horrible in 4th. -We need a new PG, or make T-Mac the sole playmaker. Rafer was f*cking horrible. He tries to force it, made a HORRIBLE foul on a jumpshooter near the end of the game, and couldn't hit anything. Put Luther Head in for Rafer, put Bonzi in for Hayes, and make T-Mac playmaker. I think that is the best lineup.-Bonzi played very nicely.-Close game until midway through 4th. We couldn't make any stops, and Battier and Yao couldn't hit any shots. This MUST be addressed.-Fire JVG, trade Rafer for either a true PG or another big man.
