Yall should have a NCAAB subforum.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Memphis Tigers have landed the number 1 ranked high school point guard in the country. Saturday night in Chicago, Derrick Rose announced that he has decided to sign with John Caliapri and the Memphis Tigers. The Simeon High senior picked Memphis over Illinois and Indiana. He cited the coaching staff that includes former NBA point guard Rod Stickland, as his reason for coming South. Rose can make it official Wednesday when the signing period begins.</div>LinkVideoThis is great news, Memphis is beginning to become an elite school of NCAA Basketball. He is compared to Gary Payton but more athletic.

ah ok, but I think they are considered top recruits this year. Rose isnt going to Memphis until next season.

I should read more about HS players, but there have been so many good ones out of Indiana recently that I haven't paid attention to other top recruits around the nation.
What the hell is John Calapari doing there? Promising recruits 72 virgins? Man he's a recruiting genius. Hopefully for you he stays more than his freshman season.

Got Dejaun Wagner, Rodney Carney(who didnt play AAU, so he wasnt even in top 100 and Calipari still found him). Shawne Williams. And if he was black, wouldve gotten Thadeuss Young.and so many others........<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BrewCityBuck @ Nov 5 2006, 06:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>What the hell is John Calapari doing there? Rivals is probably the most credible high school scouting source, in my opinion. Here's there top 150 if anyone is interested: http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/viewrank.asp?ra_key=1611Gordon and Rose are in the same class. Websites have scouted them in either order all year long, so I don't think one is especially better than the other. They don't play the same positions though. Gordon has been recruited as a shooting guard and Rose a point guard. Someone mentioned Mayo, he's down at 5 below both of them.I feel bad for Illinios. Rose and Gordon were supposed to go to their home state college and give them a lights out guard tandem. Gordon bolted to Indiana and and now Rose to Memphis. I'd be bummed if I was an Illini fan. Don;t forget Detroit native Chris Douglas Roberts on Calapari's resume. That kid's a stud.
