They are now 3-0...They are beating the Heat 107-94 right now with 1 minute left in the game. They were down by 11 but 13 points in the 3rd quarter from Kyle Korver brought them back in the game.Kyle Korver and Andre Iguodala are looking really sharp out there. They each had over 20 points, They both shot very high field goal percentages from behind the arc.

This is an eerily similar start to the year we had back in 2000-01. Legitimate chance of trading Iverson over the summer... he comes out pissed off... Sixers get first 3-0 start since 2000-01. I know it's early, but I think we're going to prove a lot of those "experts" wrong and atleast make the playoffs (barring a major injury to AI).Everything we needed to happen in order to improve has happened. Korver is really liking this new basketball... don't change it back Stern! Iguodala is more aggressive offensively - if he isn't shooting, he's setting people up. His jumper has also improved. Iverson has improved his three-point shooting and is trusting and setting up his teammates more than ever. He is also more efficient offensively this year (so far). I always rip Webber, but I'm EXTREMELY happy with him so far. He's cut down his shot attempts to about 10 a game, giving guys like Iggy and Korver more shots, while still crashing the boards. Dalembert has improved dramatically on defense. He is picking and choosing when to go after shots very well, and has only been called for one goaltend so far this season. He just needs to polish his offensive game a little more, or play off of AI better and he'll be good to go_Our bench looks decent as well with the addition of Korver. Green is improving, but not yet back to 100%. Carney is impressing me. He's not giving us a lot offensively, but he is a better shooter and defender than I thought he was. Hunter is also playing well, and I have to give props to my boy Kevin Ollie for providing tough defense in the back court. Our defense is MUCH improved... but we still have a ways to go. I know it's early, but it really is a Philly thing!AI is averaging 34 PPG on 49% shooting (33-67), along with 9.7 APG...Korver has been absolutely UNCONSCIOUS shooting the ball - 18.7 PPG, 57.5% shooting (19-33), and 82% (9-11) from three-point land.EDIT: OK, I'm not getting my hopes up too high, because soon enough we'll come back down to reality, but I'm going to enjoy this while I can.

Yeah thankgod we had an awesome 2nd half because imo we played pretty damn bad in the first half of the game. Kyle Korver was absolutely incredible out there and seemed unguardable. He was hitting his shots no matter what. Allen Iverson had a great game throughout and was really doing a good job getting his teammates involved until the point where we were down 11 and he needed to get our offense going again. In the last two games he's really shown an improvement in shooting from beyond the arc. Another person that really stepped up his game was Andre Iguodala. He was the most agressive on offense in todays game fromwhat I've seen this season. He came up huge for us in the 4th quarter and nailed some big shots. One thing we did do well in the first half is draw fouls. With Shaq out Zo was their only big defensive presence, and we got 4 fouls on him right away. We did a good job getting to the line but we struggled at making them too much in the first half. Luckily we improved that also in the 2nd half. Overall though we had a pretty good game, and I am definetly impressed so far. I'm definetly going to enjoy us playing like this, and hoperfully it lasts.LOL who else though found this incredibly annoying? "Walker from three...KABOOM!"

This is great. This is how I hoped we would end up playing. AI Doing his normal job and making more assists. Kyle being a pure scorer, and Iggy getting involved.BTW Iversonfan, so far you owe Serge $100. lol

Andre Iguodala has always been lights out in Toronto, and now that he's actually looking to score more he might crack 30 (doubtful, but possible). The only thing that worries me is that we'll be coming off a game in Indiana Tuesday night. This week is tough for the Sixers... four of the next five on the road. Hell, the first 40 games are tough for us (25 of our first 39 on the road... ridiculous). If we can stay near .500 through the first 41 games, we should be able to make a run the second half of the year if we take care of business at home.

I can't guarantee a win here, I don't see how you can.

You will be coming off a game vs. the Pacers whereas we will have 3 days rest. I just see our guys taking this one.
