Regardless if we win of lose, this will be my last game I work this season. The NBA only allows the local broadcast crews to cover the 1st round unless ABC covers the game and they have already announced they will cover game 7 IF there is one. So I move on to other work and will have to watch the rest of the run with all you geeks on TV......(Actually, if there IS a game 7 I will be flying to Florida during it and not even be able to see it!!!!!!) It has been quite a run this year and I love reading all about it on here. Thanks again Denny for giving me a place to drop mad hoop knowledge on suckas! Here are some pics from this past 6 months thru the eye of The HCP...... #ripcityFAMS YES THAT IS McLovin!!!!!
Thanks man. And for your info peeps....... we were just nominated for a sports broadcasting Emmy. For those that complain about the show, there are worse out there I promise you.
I think Blazer Broadcasting is great as is the ideas that comes out of it. If there was only away the broadcasting could seperate themselves from the train wreck that is Comcast Sports Net. You would be looked at much better. Their issues are not your issues and I know it's hard to sell that to the subscriber.
Dang I had no idea tomorrow is the last blazer broadcast of the year. Seriously great work all year... and what a crazy year it has been
What does EVS stand for, HCP? Regardless, you have kicked ass and I have enjoyed all the KGW broadcasts this year.
So now we're all supposed to write sappy, pithy homilies to HCP?
Big John, would you be willing to give THE meet and greet, like we have done with Wheels, but instead we ask you questions and stories?
This is my favorite picture: Why? The fire alarm in the middle of Rip City. It like the line in "Rip City Rhapsody": "You better call the cops, 'cause the hoop's on fire!"
Thanks for sharing HCP - I'll miss the local broadcasts as we go through the rest of the playoffs. I guess that's the price we pay for success!
I enjoy the Blazers broadcasts when I can get them. For one thing, the networks refuse to show replays of most bad calls, only the ones that seem to support their agenda du jour. Also, the national guys won't shut the fuck up about shit that has nothing to do with the game I'm trying to watch. John, I think you and the entire crew do a great job.
