One of the biggest knocks on Nate was that Phoenix series when Gentry put Hill on Miller, and Nate was unable to adjust. We all wanted to see Batum abuse Nash, but that never happened.

McHale adjusted to Aldridge dominating the first two games by starting Asik, and has basically slowed him down and given Houston the advantage over the past three games.

What adjustment (if any) do you think Stotts should be making to counter Asik's presence in Houston's starting lineup?

I think we need to have more give and go's with batum and aldride. I remembered Batum getting a lot of dunks from that play.

i think we should go at asik real early and get some early foul trouble going. or do what lin did to us last week and run a ton of pick and rolls for dame and have the bigs have to come up and help and have nic crash boards

Start Meyers instead of LMA. His 3pt shooting and lack of rebounding will confuse them.

Yes. If we get the Houston big men doubling over in laughter we can get to the rim all night.

Lawyer ball. Go right at him and put him into foul trouble.

Aldridge didn't play well the last game and acted more like a decoy. If I was Stotts I would have made something up like Aldridge isn't 100%. play some mind games.

ever since Houston has put Asik in the starting lineup Houston has been winning the rebounds. So yes Joel Freeland would help.

For whatever reason, his spirit wasn't in the game that evening. Whether if that was by design or if it was due to not feeling well or something. Spiritually, he wasn't in it. The team doesn't need him to go out and score 50 this evening but they need him to be there spiritually and not some where else.

Only way to put off Asik on Aldridge is for Batum and Mathews to score more, not counting Williams. But they are needed defensively. Personally, I think Lamarcus has to get his butt in gear and find a way to make the points. These are the playoffs. You have to man up

I think we will see the LA that emerged from the Golden State fight game. He just shifted gears and was all over the place--beasting. He knows this is a big game and he is the leader. He also knows he didn't do well last game and that is part of why we are here. If he doesn't get numbers it won't be for lack of effort or interest.

How come coaches aren't playing any mind games in these playoffs?

Clippers vs Golden State is one big mind game.

Another adjustment would be for Mo to actually stay in front of his defender. Mainly Jeremy fucking Lin.
We can't win when we let guys blow by us when there isn't even a god damn screen from a big.

Yeah, but Sterling's move kind of backfired. I mean, it's all fun and games until someone bans you for life.

I think the only time a coach would or should play mind games is if they feel they are at a disadvantage. LA doesn't need your or the coaches excuses for his performance in game 5. He just doesn't. The dude has another gear. He reveals it at that right moments. He revealed during two pivotal games in game one and two. We need him to flip the switch again to be totally and utterly into it. That's it. If his teammates follow. It's all over.
