Speaking of Shibe Park later named Connie Mack Stadium I remember my parents Father Red Sox Fan, Mother A's Fan arguing about those teams. The first MLB players I heard mentioned were Teddy Ballgame, and Bobby Shantz. I became interested in the Philles, with guys like Richie Ashburn, Del Ennis, Granny Hamner, Robin Roberts, Curt Simmons and Stan Lopata. On all categories except power Ashburn was right there with Mickey, Willie, and the Duke. I hated those "Cookie Cutter Ball Parks of the mid Seventies and glad when they went back to the traditional parks and uniforms.
