I like being the underdog. I like starting off on the road. Just me, lots more pressure to win those first two games for the home team.
OK--I get why we win the NW states, and why Utah's on our side--but how the hell did we get the Alabama vote?
I bought one of those window markers before the playoffs started. My back window now reads rockets (with a line through it) and below it "spurs". We've got this if we play blazer ball! Underdog be damned!!! Edit: nvm it's still oregon where the rain rules everything. Fk you rain, you can't dampen my excitement!
First predictions I've heard so far, listening to Mike and Mike in the morning and they picked San Antonio. Greenberg picked San Antonio in 5. Golic picked San Antonio in 6. They were both extremely complimentary to our team, but they didn't give us any chance.
We shouldn't be given a chance by the experts. SA is a great team and should be favored to win the west so i'd be shocked if more then 2 in 20 pick us. I also like being the underdog, gives our team a chip on the shoulder and we play better when slighted it seems.
To add to this, Mike & Mike both picked the Spurs in 5 and 6 respectively. Both said they LOVE what the Blazers have done, but this is a different animal.
Alaska and Alabama have our backs! Does Washington have a lot of blazer fans, like we have Seahawk fans?
~80% of Rockets fans believe SA will win, many predicting in 4 or 5 games. haha bitter http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=254346
So they are bitter because they are picking the #1 seed and the team with the best record in the NBA as well as a team that was a rebound away from winning the title last year over a young team that just won their first playoff series in 14 years with the worst bench in the league?
