I expect Bob DeCarolis to get an IRS audit next year. Rumors are a $4m buyout and vested in PERS. Great gig if you can get it, I suppose. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/college-basketball/news/20140505/oregon-state-craig-robinson-fired/
Happy days, HAPPY DAYS! Program couldn't get any worse, with Cooke leaving Beavs were/are on their way to 0-18 again.
Glad he's gone...that said, I've got to admit I bought into him the first couple of years. After that, it's been a train wreck. Man, I miss the old Orange Express days. Steve Johnson, Rob Holbrook, Ray Blume, Jeff Stout, Mark Radford, etc. OSU basketball used to be such a blast, but it's been a LONG time since that was true.
^^ Me too. I was excited and had hope he'd get things rolling when we hired him. He didnt get the job done. Adios Craig! GO BEAVS!
Good for the Beavs they needed to rid of that joke of a coach. Now, will they open up their pockets or just grab another mediocre up and comer?
I'd be interested to see what Howland would do without multiple NBA players on his team, other than bore everybody watching his team play.
Why not give Gary Payton a shot? Surely he couldn't do any worse than Robinson and I'm sure Payton could recruit guys
Does Jackie Moon have any interest? Although he may be a little reticent to coach against UCLA. Or Cal.
Zero, just the sweet 16 twice. What garbage, you're right. Beavs should be going after Izzo or Coack K, what was I thinking.
The Beavs should look into Brad Underwood at Stephen F. Austin. He went 32-3 last season and he was at K-State for a long time.
I just would really like someone with a track record of winning and turning programs around. Howland fits both of those. I don't think the program can afford to go after an up and comer.
