This kid is special. And if Friday's series clinching shot wasn't enough to convince you, just take a look at the comparison of his first round series vs. what Roy posted his first go around. Note that Roy made his first playoff appearance in his 3rd season (at 24) while Lillard made his in his second season (at 23)

I think Lillard is so much better than Roy. We are very lucky to have him.

Crazy to think that there so close when Brandon was playing Batman and Dame was playing Robin.

Why must you always be so negative? Are you even a real Blazer fan?

While I agree that Lillard is better Roy played on a slower paced team and had to deal with a gritty good defensive team in the Houston.

HOLYCRAP I just looked at their USG rates... my god Lillard did all that at almost a 20 USG rate while Roy was 33.

Edit - wow haven't had my morning caffeine screwed this one up

I know people will say this is lame and so typical of Portland, but can we get Brandon to show up at a playoff game, or maybe even visit the team in the locker room during a game just to talk? I really want to see how he and Dame would interact with one another.

I don't think that's being negative at all. I admit I'm biased, but the reason I agree with MM is that Lillard functions within the framework of a team-oriented offense, instead of being the offense. Part of that comes down to coaching and scheme for sure, but it's not "negative" in my opinion to think more highly of him.

I think Brandon is done with the team, at least for the foreseeable future. I'm not sure it was an amicable split especially after he tried to comeback with Minnesota. Maybe in a few years down the road...

Sorry--I can't really do green font on Tapatalk. I was trying to mock all the other posts where everyone constantly attacks MM's fanhood by facetiously doing the same on a post that was obviously not negative in the least.

Back to the sarcasm drawing board...

Saying our current PG is better than out former SG who knowingly took a max contract with shitty knees, then going to play for a division rival is negative?

    Good Lord

    The system is better now.

    The coach is better now.

The training staff is better now.

Who the hell knows? BRoy would probably be just a great.

That low usage rate makes me think a couple of things: 1. Lillard might have another jump in production just by getting more possessions in this next series and 2. San Antonio can't just focus all of their attention on him to blunt our attack.

I think we are very lucky to have had both.

To think they were both essentially drafted at #6 is amazing to me. (Technically, we drafted Foye, but it was a maneuver to get Roy).
