Hands down (even though it is early) it is Craig Smith.MPG: 16.3 PPG: 11.0 RPG: 3.0FG%: 61.5He has played well for a rookie that most people didn't see doing much for the T-Wolves, he had a big game against Denver with 20 points and 5 boards. I saw him play in the preseason at a game I went to against the Pistons and he played solid, but him along with Thabo Sefolosha are both having very good years so far for their respective teams.
You spelled surprise wrong.I'm so happy for Craig Smith. I mean obviously he played for a local college to me (because), so everyone loves him around here. But I did not expect him to have an impact in the NBA this early. I thought he was going to be a D-League guy at first. But wow, keep it up Craig! You're my boy! By the way, he had 10 points on 5-6 shooting last night vs. LA.And about Thabo, I wouldn't call him a surprise, everyone knew he could play. Impressive is the better word, he's played good ball and I've loved what he's done. But he hasn't surprised anyone out of the dark, I mean he was a lotto pick and everyone knew he could play. I will admit he's been a little better than I thought, and he's a much better passer than I thought he was.
I thought Smith would do well. I thought he was going to be this years version of Ryan Gomes, except with less of a jumper and better post play. Smith, being from because, is one of my favorite, I really like the guy. But like I said, I expected him to do pretty well, but not as well as he is doing. KEEP IT UP CRAIG!
I told ya dudes like 4 months ago my boy Craig would be nice...http://www.bball-world.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10967August 4th lol
