Hibbert fell for his own hype. He started doing this overboard tough-guy act, talking himself up, starting to believe how much he deserved to be the man and just have everything he worked hard for, fall in his lap. He didn't lose skills, he lost the mindset that got him to where he was at. Shit happened to the whole Pacers team. I remember watching a few of their games during the middle of the regular season, and they were cruising so easy in the east that they really believed they were the best thing since sliced bread. They only talked about how awesome they were, and every single play they made, a rebound, a two pointer, just dribbling the ball up the court, they'd all celebrate and do a little dance, and mean mug their opponents, parade in front of the crowd, like everything they did was amazing and worth celebrating. They got full of themselves and forgot that it was hard word and determination and that underdog mentality that brought them together in the first place. It's both sad, and sickly gratifying to me at the same time to see their ship sink.
Hibbert is garbage and overpaid. Why the HELL would anyone bring him in with that albatross of a contract? To sit the bench? I sincerely hope this is sarcasm because that looks like a drunk, 2 am 2K14 Trade above....
Maybe bringing in Bynum totally shot his confidence ... I mean, what the hell else can explain an all-star, defensive stud, 7-footer falling off a cliff so fast and so hard ... UNDER 30! Totally boggles my mind.
this year Lopez 5.9 million, Hibbert 14.3 so less than half what will be really funny (funny sad) is when Hibbert gets to opt in to his 15.5 million player option in 2015
What dumb ass supported giving this hack a max contract?!?!?!?! Oh yeah that's right... I was the dumb ass!
Same thing with Gilbert. Both dudes are broken-done has-beens. Arenas is so overrated, it ain't even funny. Wasn't he last playing ball in China?
