Forgot about Big Al too; he's a superior post player on offense compared to Howard.

LMAO at idiot Trailblazer fans ITT

Tiago SPlitter maybe be softer than Charmin on offense, but he is an elite defender. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but he's not getting paid 36 million for his finesse moves in the post.

Also if Pop has any sense he'll put Green on Lillard from the start of game one. Then with Lillard subsequently taken out of the series[see; 2013 WCSF when green was switched to curry], you can live with Parker getting posted up as long as you're not letting Lillard go off.

    Spurs in 4 or 5.

They said the same thing about Patrick Beverley.

There is nobody on your team that can stop Damian Lillard.

Beverley played injured the whole series. We barely won several games. Imagine if the starter had been healthy.

It did both last year (Miami goes for long stretches with Bosh at the 5 and James, Allen, Wade, Chalmers).

    Pretty sure it's already happened.

With Diaw and Patty in the mix.

That is some extreme confidence for a team that got taken to 7 games by the 8th seed. The Rockets thought they were going to sweep the Blazers. You see how that worked out for them. The Blazers are 13-3 in their last 16 games. Win or lose, you will begin to see that the Blazers came to play. They are extremely resilient. They are rarely out of the game.

At least these guys giving me some fire to temporarily hate a team I kinda like.

The Spurs are a good team, very well-coached, and play excellent team defense, but I chuckle every time I read these posts about Danny Green and Tiago Splitter. Dudes are average to below-average role players in the league and we're supposed to believe they're dieties.

    Bring 'em the fuck on.

Careful - don't get too over-confident, Nate. Pops can stop Dame if that's what he wants to do. You too quickly forget that we just played against Kevin "Nate" McHale and now we're going up against the best coach of the past couple decades.

Go look at Dame's numbers against the Spurs this year, and last year as well. If the Spurs were going to stop him, they would have already done it. He has absolutely torched the Spurs in 8 games so far in his career. I don't see them magically figuring him out.

Never look to regular season games to determine how Pops will coach in the Playoffs.

They can't double him. Aldridge will have a field day if they try to double Lillard. So how else are they going to slow him down? Danny Green? I highly doubt that Danny Green is going to slow down Lillard.

I think Pops will roll the dice with LMA not having another historic shooting performance in him, and let him have some of those open 18' pick/pop jumpers.
Expect to see every type of defense thrown at us. They aren't going to single-cover us throughout the entire series. Dame will get doubled, LMA will get doubled, if Wes gets it going in the post he might even get doubled.
There won't be a single player that's going to stop Lillard, but Pops will get his team to stop him when he needs to stop him.

this is silly. I provided an excellent argument and you call me bias? not to be rude but that's ignorant. I always root for the spurs unless it's against the Blazers. I was quiet upset when the spurs didn't win it last year. my argument isn't bias. It's based in fact.
    rude, I expected more.

You don't have to reply to me. But don't call me bias when I'm clearly not the one being biased.

There is one thing that I worry about when playing the spurs. Blazers tend to be lazy at passing, especially from Mo and Matthews. We cannot allow the spurs to get easy steals from lazy passing.

Our team must be focused and efficiently play each possession like it's the important possession or sas will run out on us and take away our flow.

I just have a feeling Pop will go single coverage on LA and try to take our guards out of the game by guarding the 3 pt line. This is going to be an epic series. LaMarcus has to play every game like it's a game 7. Our ability to rebound and defend will determine our success.

I predict Pop will throw double coverage for one or two seconds at a time on LMA. Patty was on the Courtside show and Mike Rice was asking him vague leading questions. Patty said something like "LaMarcus is unstoppable in single coverage."
