Right now the way its looking, im suprised to say this myself, the LA-Mia deal with Shaq is looking preety good for both teams. The Heat obviously just won the championship with Shaq, so you know that deal was good on their side. For the Lakers, Odom has really started to play good this season and understand this Laker offense. I still think that the Heat got the better of the deal, trading for a future hall of famer, but its not that bad as people thought in the begining for the Lakers.

Pretty good topic, Let me indulge.Toronto Raptors trade- Charlie VillanuevaMilwaukee Bucks trade- T.J FordThe Raptors get there much needed point guard and Charlie V is blowing it up in Milwaukee. Him and Bogut are making a nasty duo.LA Lakers trade- Caron Butler, Chucky AtkinsWashington Wizards trade- Kwame BrownThe Lakers get a decent center that still has some upside. The Wizards get a high scoring forward to complement Arenas and Jamison.

Nets trade Stephon Marbury; Knicks trade Jason Kidd.Well, the Nets suddenly were in the NBA Finals and have still made five play off appearances five years in a row. The Knicks? Well, they have good players, I guess.

But throwing another one out there: PJ Brown and JR Smith to Chicago for Tyson Chandler. For Chicago, it got them a veteran presence and a very good low-post defender in Brown, and they got to ship Smith to Denver to basically relieve a little cap space. For New Orleans, it got their aging big out of there and got themselves a young/athletic center who fits in greatly with that they are doing.Another one was the Celtics/Wolves deal last year: Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marcus Banks, Justin Reed, and two 2nd round picks for Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi, Dwayne Jones, and a future protected 1st round pick. For Boston- Got rid of bad karma guys who didn't want to be there (Blount, Banks), which also got Blount's bad contract out.- Got rid of Reed, freeing up time for Gomes, who ended up developing into our starting PF.- Got Wally, who is a better fit in Boston than Ricky.- Got Kandi-Man, who we are paying cheap money for now, and who has really developed a newfound hustle and passion for the game.- Obviously the future 1st rounder is good.- We got Jones, who ended up being traded to Cleveland for Luke Jackson, but that helped us a lot because in that deal Cleveland agreed to pay Jackson's contract off. So we waived him and saved money.- We saved money because Kandi's contract expired after last seaso, now we have him on a very small contract. For Minnesota- Got rid of Kandi-Man, who needed a change of scenery.- Apparently Wally and KG didn't always see eye-to-eye (so I hear).- They got a legit 20/5/5 star who is athletic to pair up with KG.- Got an ok center (as much as I hate Blount, he doesn't "suck").- Got a young PG for half a season who played excellent for them (too bad that didn't work out).- They got a hustle player in Reed, who everyone loves.I think that trade worked out beautifully for both teams.
