He has had long enough with no results. Time to retire.

Regardless of the outcome of this series, this is a big offseason coming up for NY. Sather really needs to earn his paycheck this offseason.

He needs to go. It has been a complete failure under his watch.

haha al...you could put them on your little league team and nobody would know the difference.

Lindberg is the only one who intrigues me. Possible he makes it as 4th C next year. Fast and Kristo will never be more than average, tiny 3rd liners

Sather is not going anywhere. Spoiled brat loser Dolan thinks he's cool for hanging out with Sather. He's not going to fire him.

    Per Brooks,

"Goodness, cap considerations notwithstanding, is there a general manager in the league who would trade Brandon Dubinsky for Nash even-up now, let alone throw Artem Anisimov, a first-rounder and Tim Erixon into the deal, as the Blueshirts did in their exchange with Columbus in July of 2012?"

Can't disagree with him one bit, we got fleeced.

It wasn't a bad move at the time. The Rangers thought they were getting a stud winger who was good for at least 35 goals and big plays in the post season. Instead they have a guy who drifts in and out during the regular season and is a complete playoff no show.

He'll score 30 again next season, and then disappear in the playoffs...LOL.

I almost toss this whole season for Nash and start new in Oct.

Outside of 15 games he has done nothing really. That's just a fact. 15 games he was amazing with like 12 goals or so. Rest of the season/playoffs almost nothing. Missed time with a concussion again. To me just a total waste of a season in every way for Nash. A terrible season outside of 15 games. Toss it and start fresh in Oct. All he/we can do.

There's no other choice. They're not buying him out. That's just ridiculous. Richards simply has to be bought out because of the contract. Trading Nash is not going to do anything for them because I don't see them getting anything close to the value and then you have to replace him. I agree that you have to toss this season and hope that this drives him to come into next season and tear it up.

And Nash has a NTC as well. We agree 100000% Mess. All we can do is hope the light goes on, and starting next season he becomes that guy in the playoffs as well, and actually has a good regular season also. He scored 26 goals, but really was bad regular season as well outside of those 15 games.

I could be wrong but I think it started right after the announcement. I seem to remember people saying it gave him "confidence" and made him "more relaxed" when he went on the tear afterward. Could be wrong.

    Either way, he's a bum

Sounds like he cant hack it on the big stage. Should've stayed in Columbus.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sather hands things over as GM this summer.

Nash's no trade clause will be irrelevant if the Garden crowd boos him mercilessly and all he hears about is how he sucks every time he show his mug in public. Sather should have been gone years ago but Dolan loves him.
