I feel chucks pain. 52 years as a fan and counting for me. Starting to think 1994 is the only cup I'll ever see. As Al would say soon to be a 60 year old. LOL

I thought we all thought Nash was the missing piece? What happened? Now we are booing him at MSG?

He's a flop. Especially in big games. Clearly cannot handle the big stage. 1 goal in 23 Rangers playoff games and 2 goals in 27 career playoff games.

Yep, I can see that scenario now for me Mess. 93 years old, eating liquids thru my feeding tube and pissing all over my rangers pajamas. Ha ha ha

This is why I used to always roll my eyes and laugh when Dump would go on and on about the Devils. After a heart breaking ECF loss to the Rangers in 1994 that franchise went to five cup finals and won three of them. How any Ranger fan could question that franchise is laughable.

You guys seeing the quotes out of the locker room? Closed door meeting for the team only. A little late fellas!

And now they're all like "Oh, we wish the fans didn't boo. We're trying hard. It'd be nice if they supported us."

    A big effffffffffffffffffffffff you!

That's exactly what losers do. They get shutout at home and follow it up with a complete no show performance at home. They should be embarrassed and ashamed. After the Pens put them out of their misery it will be time to get rid of some of this garbage.

I am not making any excuses, but I think AV did a good job here. He is a good coach and in his first year with injured McD, no Krieder, idiot Nash I think he did well as a coach. Brassard, Zuk and Puliout are playing best hockey of their career minus Pens series. No Cali who was the heart and soul of the team, so I am not sure why many of you are blaming him. He is not a problem. Stupid schedule which is unheard of 5 games in 7 nights does not happened in a regular season let alone playoffs.

I think you all know that I was against Nash trade, and not because I have a man crush on Dubi. It is not about Dubi. You just don't change the team dramatically after ECF game 6. You don't fix if it ain't broke, and I know ECF loss in 6 needs fixing but not such a dramatic change. So for next season I hope we build on positives that we had this year instead 360 change. Let's not bring another super star, and if possible lets trade Nash.

2009 I am done defending Nash. He is a total puss and I was wrong about him. That said, the ECF team COULDNT FUCKING SCORE in the playoffs. Neither can this team as it turns out. The Nash move didn't work out. He was a good reg season player but a complete abortion in the playoffs. I thought he was the missing piece. So did Sather. He clearly isn't. That trade was worth the risk. Nash is just a guy that hides when the pressure is on. I agree with a previous poster about how Mess would handle him. He would have made Sather trade him.

But this was a complete team fail. St Louis. Stepan. McDonough. Richards. Nobody came to play.

This team lacks heart and leadership. Extremely frustrating.

Why is it so hard to be a Rangers fan.

Agreed, I like Dump and the arguments he caused but he was just dead wrong about the Devils. Great organization with an all time great goalie. Lou>>>>>>>>>>Sather. Sather did a good job with Edmonton no doubt, he has been pretty pedestrian as the Ranger boss though hard to totally fault him when he brings stars here and they shit the bed.

What a pathetic performance. Pretty much right from the start we were weak and sloppy. Started turning the puck over in our own zone left and right. Really a weak no show performance in a must win game.

What is funny is until the Hags goal the game was pretty even, despite our sloppiness with the puck (giveaways were 25-8...we had 25 giveaways...WOW). But as soon as Hags scored it was over. The Pens dominated from there forward. After the Hags goal the shots were 10-8 Rangers. Next time I looked up it was 18-11 Pens. Rangers finished with 15 shots. So in the last 34 + minutes we had 5 shots...5 in a must win game at home. Again the only way to describe it is weak pathetic no show effort.

We have made the Pens look like this dominant team. 3 goals in the last 11 periods plus 5 or so minutes in OT. SAD. You just know against Montreal/Boston MAF and the Pens D will be back to their norm of bad goals, and allowing the other 3 or 4 goals a game.

We just do not play well against the Pens, and never have. I thought we were over that given the season split, the win in game 1 (which I thought was HUGE at the time), and the fact the Pens are just not as deep and talented this season as they have been the past few seasons. But NOPE...beaten down by the Pens again.

You could have clearly told me we'd lose this series and I would not have been surprised at all of course. But NO WAY could you tell me after game 1 we'd lose 3 straight, 2 at home, and get shut out twice, and score 2 goals over the next 3 games...NO WAY.

What a huge downer. Sad stuff on the ice last night...really was.

Only caught some of last nights game, but most of the others. My biggest question is hasn't the coaching staff looked at tapes of how the flyers, and columbus, play the penguins? The rangers are passing up opportunities to hit those f'ers, you have to be relentless and always in their face, they don't like it and they become unglued. Columbus was able to get the puck low and cycle on pukesburgh, the rangers are having a tough time with puck possession, I would think the rangers are a better team than columbus.
Did the flyer series just wear the rangers out? Nash looks lost out there, what the hell happened to him. Hoping you guys can come back, but it doesn't look good.

As for Nash, and the players not loving him being booed, this is where players don't get it. We pay 200$ + to sit at these playoff games. The players say we are out there trying our best. Okay...all fair, but at some point in time IT HAS TO BE ABOUT ACTUAL RESULTS WITH NASH. That is what the players don't get.

I won't sit here and say Nash doesn't care or Nash doesn't try...nope. I do think he is too nice, soft, and lacks a kiler instinct, but I do believe he wants to win and tries hard. BUT the guy has 1 ONE goal in 23 playoff games as a Ranger...ONE. He has a 7.8 mill per cap hit. I don't want to hear oh he plays hard. He tries. He cares. He gets chances. DOES NOT MATTER ANYMORE. And that is what the players don't get AT ALL.

It mattered that he was trying hard, getting shots, and getting chances 10 games ago, 8 games ago maybe, but after 23 playoff games...WE NEED RESULTS. This is not little kid soccer when everyone gets a trophy just for playing.

What Nash needs is to get some balls. That is it. I have been saying it for weeks now, and it is SO crystal clear. He is too nice, and so soft. He does not go into the dirty areas to make plays. Everything is a spin move or some finesse BS. He is a very large man and plays smaller than Zucc. MAN UP RICK NASH. That is the bottom line.

And that is what the players miss. Oh we know Rick cares. Hate to hear him getting booed. He wants it badly...DOESN'T MATTER AFTER 23 PLAYOFF GAMES AS A RANGER AND ONE GOAL...PERIOD.

Here is the issue, At days end I am 100% convinced the way to beat the Pens is pound them. Hit them. Be physical. We cannot do that. We do not do that. That is why Philly owns Pitt. Why CBJ plays a great series against Pitt (WAY better than our effort). Why Boston pounded Pitt.

We try and play a finesse speed game. They play a finesse speed game. And guess what...we don't have Cindy and Malkin to do it. Game over.

    On some other players.

McDonagh has to be hurt. Sounds like a pass, but it isn't. His level of play is about 700 levels below his pre-injury play. Almost no shot he isn't hurt. That last goal Malkin abused him. Making mistakes all over the ice. This was a top 7 or so dman all season. This is not the same guy out there.

MSL has to shoot more. Always looking to pass, and other teams know it. Since his hot playoff start he has done nothing. Last night he literally passed the puck right on Pens sticks 2 or 3 times, one on the PP which was actually funny.

Girardi has been bad. Not sure if he is trying to makeup for McDonagh, but no good. Not much else to say here.

Staal has struggled the past few games. Two goals last night were directly on him IMO.

Stepan I just don't know what to say anymore. Even as a # 2 C it concerns me greatly that he never shows up in the playoffs.

Kreider was our best player last night IMO. I thought he played hard and skated fast. Excited to see 25 from him next season.

Richards will be boughtout this summer. Downside is he scored 20 this season, so we need to replace that at C, and add a true # 1 C, but it won't be easy. Also I am sure it will not make MSL happy that his buddy Richards will be gone. Has to be done though.

Nash I said it above. Not sure what you can do with him other than hope though. Can't trade him I don't think. NTC and pennies on the dollar. Just have to hope.

That shorthanded goal summed up the effort last night. Nash with another awful play (no doubt all of this playoff stuff is in his head now and nothing is natural), but what was worse is Hank makes the play he has to. You say okay on the PP we clear it now, but NOPE next guy through gets the rebound and puts it into the open net. That was the worst part and showed 10000000000% clear lack of hustle and desire. Flat out dog effort. And Hank was PISSED. Broke his stick over the goal, and you heard it in the Garden. He was PISSED, and I get it. What a dog effort on that play.

Not much else to say. No show in a playoff game must win at home. We move on now...
