and all the sheep keep on paying for tickets like they do for his cable TV:

ticket prices will keep on rising just like cable rates and all you get is re-runs day after day, year after year the last f'n 14 years. It's the longest running show on Broadway where cast members change sometimes, people know the ending, but keep on coming.

Do people forget there was an even longer drought before dolan owned the team. Hey I am not happy either with the results but enough with blaming everyone other than the players on the ice. Dolan isnt on the powerplay. Dolan doesnt get a pass by no means, but this series and the past years are on the players. Dolan spends the money. Its never about being cheap. The decisions are trying to make the team better. If nash was anywhere near the caliber of his payroll this series wouldn't be down 3 to 1. Just loke if gabby wasnt hurt in that devil series....if mac was full strength on this series. Things would be different. The players not showing up is an issue.

Spending money is not the only thing that makes you a good owner. I think that gets really lost sometimes.

It is very much about hiring the right people and letting them do their jobs. And if/when those people do a poor job they are held accountable and removed from their positions if need be.

THAT is where Dolan is awful as an owner.

Sather has been in this job for 15 years with just about 0 results. 1 ECF in 15 years...NOT GOOD. He should have been gone 5 + years ago no doubt.

Look at the Knicks, same deal. Isiah was a joke yet stayed until a lawsuit forced Dolan's hand. Then Walsh comes in and does an awesome job. And of course since Dolan can't stay out of it Walsh says F this and leaves. I now have hope again since no shot Jackson comes here unless he had a flat out promise from Dolan to stay the F out of it, so I believe it is solely in Jackson's hands now, which is good.

With the Rangers he has been a terrible owner because despite the epic failures of Sather, and they are epic when you look at 15 years of no results and still has a job, he keeps Sather in his role. That is a flat out joke.

And THAT is what makes Dolan an awful owner. Spending money is just one part of being a good owner people.

All of what you said is true, maybe the Rangers have it to good. All you hear from current and former rangers is that they are treated like royalty that they have great ammenidies. maybe its too cushy and you lose your desire by playing in this setting.

Yes, it is on the players. AND the man who put them on this team.
The GM and the players just do not know what it takes to win in this city.
They have been shooting crap for years.
