I have a question. If it was Tex Winter who created the offense then why does Phil Jackson get all the credit for being such an amazing coach?
Tex Winters created the offense, but Phil Jackson brought it to the NBA and made it into what it is today. Just because they don't create the playbook doesn't mean that they are not good coaches. Most every coach's playbook and coaching style, they learned from other people, and then made adjustments to what they already was taught.

Not like he's going to say it every time he plays a game... and not like he hasnt/doesn't either.
Well I'm just saying, maybe Winter as well as Jordan, Shaq, Pippen and Kobe should get most of the praise for all those championships. Phil is a good coach but I don't know if I'd call him the greatest.

In fact, some consider one or two of the teams from the Lakers three-peat to be among the greatest defensive teams in NBA history.3. Phil's biggest advantage over other coaches is his ability to keep differing personalities together. I mean, there is a reason he's called the "Zen Master." It isn't like the Triangle offense is the end all, be all for shaq. He won a series against the spurs by abdandoing the triangle. Name me one other coach who can abandon his whole offensive scheme and win a series against a top team? I can't find any.Also, the 90-93 bulls were one of the best defensive teams in history. They did this without having a shotblocker. That to me is freaking amazing.
