    Add to the list.
    Strohs
    Sierra NV. Lager

Pabst Blue Ribbon, - (PBR)-I haven't seen here in the last 10 years. PBR was available in Louisina (luzianna); and most Southern States. Originally a southern brew....(59 would know better about PBR distribution or if its still made, than I)

We still have Colt 45 Malt Liquor out here.

Haven't seen Schlitz for a good 25 yrs here. Altho' Schlitz (shitz) Malt Liquor was still available, here, until 2010.

Man, I enjoyed Ballantine in the day.

I recall when Coors was not available in most places outside of the Plains, and Rockies. I used to ship cases of Coors to my Buddies in Atlanta in the 70s. Coors has been available now in most states, since I believe the 80s. I know it was in GA. when I lived there in 96-97.

...I remember when we first moved to Georgia and back then, you were considered a wuss if you drank anything other than PBR...not that it was particularly great beer or anything, I just think guys thought they were cool by saying "PBR". After awhile, the "cool" beer was those Miller Ponies (7 ounce)...then Coors. (when you could get it)
...by that time I had already had my first experience with alcohol...when I was 13 some friends and I pooled our money and paid some guy to buy us 2 six packs and we "camped out" for the night. I drank 2 Colt 45 "tall boys" (18 ounce I think)...all I remember is getting stupid drunk and then puking and "promising to God" for the first of probably 10 times in my life, that if he'd let me live, I'd NEVER drink again.

The first time I learned that you shouldn't mix, there were about 10 of us, I was about 15-16 & we had Colt 45 (tall boys) with Yago sangreia (forgive the spelling) & Bali hi (again forgive the spelling) All I can say while I was kneeling in front of the toilet with my head resting against the coolness of the porecelin I made the same promises. How did we ever survive?

When I arrived in Georgia in the early 70s, the 1st thing I was offered was a Miller's. PBR followed once the Miller's was depleted. Several GT students all asked me, "did you bring any Coors with you".

Soon, I'd be shipping cases into Atlanta....

Colt 45's, as a Teenage Paper Boy, I had a friends Big Brother selling me 6 packs of 16 ounce-Colt's from a 7-11 store. I'd carry the 6 pack around in my paper bags, grab a buddy, hide in Housing Tracts Under Construction, and pop those tall 16 oz. brews. 2 Colt's and we were shid faced. My buddy went over his handle bars one day; drunk on Colt's. Lucky we didn't fall out of the house attic we hid in. (it was only framed-incomplete).

I can't count how many times of being drunk, I too would say to God, help me out, and I promise I will never have a drink of alcohol again.

    I too lied....

Southern Gentle Men...(SGM)- Hey were both further south than half the southern states, do we qualify as Southern GM's too?

The only beer I had with SGM, was Clark Griswold, and he drank half his beer, back-washed to last half, and offered the rest to me...! Doh....!
