...not to hijack the thread, but I was thinking of things and sayings from the "old days" that we don't see or hear anymore.

    ..."keep on truckin;"

    ..."groovy"

    ..."yer yeller".

    ..."you got any papers?"

    ...neighborhood sand lot baseball games

    ...SERVICE stations

    ...drive-in theaters

    ...45 & 33 rpm records

    ...cap guns

    ...cars before emission controls

    ..."I double/triple dog dare you..."

    ...Phys-Ed class.

...those yeast rolls soaked in butter for lunch at school.

...the weird kid who'd trade his cinnamon roll for your beets at lunch.

...bicycles with high handle bars and banana seats.

    ...ahhh, good times.

...yeah, we used to make our own shoe taps.
...still laughing at "bell bottoms"...and to go with them, I had a pair of 2" stacked sole "disco shoes". (blue and orange)...I shit you not.

...and hey, how about paisley shirts, and Nehru shirts, and madras shirts that "bled" and were a different color every time you washed them?

And lets not forget that people actually had to GET UP to change the TV channel or even turn it off. I stubbed my toe more times heading back to bed in the dark after turning the set off.

Yeah, it was a whole different time. And a great time to grow up in.

Apple butter, that's what I was thinking of. Hell I don't even know if you can still get it. And Hickey's I once gave a chick over 20 of them all over her neck, chest & stomach. Don't ask, to much mad dog 20-20. All I know if that I practically suffered from lock jaw for the next two days. That's when some girls were just tramps. AH! the good old days.

OH WOW... I forgot about those Paddle Balls on the rubber bands. Yeeha...
I also forgot about those Yo-Yo's great stuff Ron...Rick too...

Say Ricky, you were a Pro with those Paddle Balls...Me, they only hit me in the eyes...! Same with Yo-Yo's, tho' I loved both, they got the better of me...

Walk the Dog, (wasn't it)?? ... I've forgotten alot of those Yo-Yo moves, can anyone help me out with those names, of Yo-Yo moves, rather performances.

Thanks for the Nostalgic Thrills, both of you...

Speaking of being punched in the eyes, do you guys recall 'Gorgeous George' the Wrestler, who was also (40 years or more later) in the Movie Snatch, as a Big Burly Bare Knuckle Fighter...?
