Yeah you should look it up. How we remember that Elliot shot in game 2, many of us remember Rod Strickland doing a behind the back pass to Porter.
Read that forum and you guys were talking about trading your whole entire team, Duncan included, for him. Get the fuck outta here with your "told you so" shit! Lmao!
1999 was good, but by 2003 DRob was done (almost as bad as KG is now). The best teams were 2005 and 2007 though.
No, I read everything else... And it's funny you used one thread you aren't even on. The good thing about this format is you can go back and check. So far, you've only proved your forum justified picking him first. Lmao
Mods, just curious has Commissioner Stern er I mean Commissioner Crane told you to loosen up and let them play in here?
That's not a prediction. Every Blazer fan had that fear going in, but nobody came out and said they thought we should draft Durant.
I didn't post on ST back then; they've always been pretty bad at approving new accounts. Again, that's only one thread and most of them ended up being troll threads (didn't know they were back then due to denseness on my part).
As someone who seriously considered drafting Durant, I could see the strange parallel with the Jordan/Bowie draft, but how the hell were we supposed to pass up the guy that was supposed to be the next Bill Russell? Seriously, it would have been like you guys taking Hakeem only to have him completely break down. That's how hyped Oden was. How would you feel about that draft if Hakeem had been plagued by injuries and had ultimately left after only four five years? You'd have no championships and you'd be the team everyone talked about for passing on MJ.
Original post was spot on. Our head coach hasn't head coached deep into playoffs. The players experience is very limited as well. Even the Heat didn't win their 1st year together.
Batum is fucking good tbh. I mentioned before the series began that Batum > Leonard, and so far its held true. Just get a better bench with some defenders; the offense will come from your starting unit but the bench needs to be able to slow the opposition's.
Miamis first year together wasn't the first time most of those players had reached the finals. Wade won with Shaq in whatever year they won, and the Cavs went in 07 when they got steamrolled by the (guess who) Spurs. The key thing now, moving on, is to improve the team. Both defensively and offensively. They need to have much better scorers coming off the bench, too.
