Mills and Beli are the only new bench guys. Baynes only got minutes because of foul trouble. Beli has playoff exp and hit big shots in Chi. Boris is a matchup problem for any team in the NBA. Let's see here Mills Beli Manu Boris All threats to light you up.
FWIW, if the Blazers win both games in Portland I could see the Spurs faltering. They historically respond poorly to adversity during a series. Problem is I'm not sure your players can convince themselves they can win both games.
Gee, I didn't say they were going to suck, I said they would be average. And I explained why I thought that. Belly has had 2 good games, and 7 bad ones in this playoffs. Diaw has been hesitant to dominate on the offensive side of the ball, and mills has been spotty. I just don't think they will drop 50 again. Of course they are all threats, but until they do it, it's just a threat. The threat was there during the Dallas series also, and the bench sucked. I will gladly take an average performance in Game 3. Still means a spurs win in my book.
As said before, this is not a thread to argue whether we are going to win or lose. It is a thread for BLAZER fans to show they still have faith in our team. If there was any way possible for the Blazers to win, I am sure Stotts is going to do everything in his power to have our team ready. It is a race to four games, not two and we have yet to play in Portland. RIPCITY!
We're down but not out. SA is playing dominant basketball and have held serve at home. Now they have to come to our place. I think we will make necessary changes and win both games.
I don't know man... Our teams moral is down. The way pop has taken Aldridge out destroys the confidence of the team. Only way I see the Blazers coming back is if Aldridge dominates at home and gets the confidence back. Splitter has done and amazing job on Aldridge and until Aldridge overcomes that and forces Spurs to double, I just don't see it happening.
From Game 1 to Game 90 I supported this team. Here in México nobody knows, or knew the Blazers and thought I was crazy, I always believed in the team. Now we are down 2-0 in the semifinals, is not time to give up, we can do this. We have Lillard, Aldridge, Batum, Matthews, RoLo, Barton, TRob! I love this team!
Nothing like some home cooking. Also, LA is a pro and a fighter. I can guarantee you he will want to prove himself.
I do agree with you and I believe in this team. We go when Aldridge goes. I can't remember a game where we did well without Aldridge. Those games needed a super effort from Lillard. Until they are forced to double Aldridge, they can cheat and stop Lillard from the perimeter
Please win game 4 so us Spurs fans can have a nice hometown win..... I wont complain if it is a sweep though.
