Jay Bromley graduates tomorrow, so he had a low-key Friday on tap in Syracuse. He went to the grocery store intent on picking up some juice and renting a movie – Sandra Bullock’s “Gravity” from Redbox – before calling it a night. He didn’t expect to be drafted until Saturday (some teams had a 6th or 7th round grade on him, according to one person familiar with the situation) and didn’t believe the Giants scout that called him. Only when Tom Coughlin’s voice came on did he realize that this was really happening. “The home team, this is my favorite team, it’s crazy,” Bromley said. “Big Blue. And then I get picked by them? It’s crazy. It’s amazing.” The Giants loved Bromley because of his attitude, and it’s hard not to see why after his introductory conference call late Friday night. Bromley was floored by the pick, but, as a Jamaica Queens native, couldn’t envision a place he’d rather play. “Oh man, the movie has been completely put on hold,” he said. “The movie is an afterthought to be completely honest.” During the middle of the call, some of Bromley’s Syracuse teammates rushed into his apartment and began screaming. His girlfriend and a second teammate couldn’t stop yelling when Coughlin was on the phone. - See more at: http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/...ants_while_shopping_for_movies_and_juice.html
