It makes sense to me. Gore is pretty much done, Hunter is underwhelming, LMJ will not be a Niner by the end of summer, and Lattimore is a huge question mark. Hyde fits the running style of the team. I really hope James goes to the Eagles. I'm sick and tired of hearing other Niners fans bitch about him. They call him a whiner, they say he has a bad attitude, and I completely disagree with them. He was a class act at Oregon and I can understand why he's annoyed because he was drafted by a team that won't give him any carries. I would get frustrated too.

Don't they like him a lot as a PR/KR just not as an every down back? He is the starting PR/KR on the team so I wouldnt' be surprised if he stays since he has little value.

DaT to Kansas. I like that pick, supposed big playmaker who can help take some pressure off of Charles now and then. I thought NO would take him this round or next round.

Supposedly the guy they drafted from SC is going to be the new PR/KR. Everyone thinks he's gone.

If he gets cut ?I wonder if he will land anywhere else. He hadn't really shown much in the NFL and his best bet might be to just end up on someones special teams as a PR/KR. Not the career I thought he would have coming out of oregon.

What did you expect? The Niners drafted him despite having a pro bowl running back and a solid backup. The one time he really got touches he actually did well. Otherwise he's only been a PR/KR. I think Chip would pick him up in an instant if the Niners cut him.

I expected him to be in a RB by committee or a change of pace starter. Those expectations kinda went out the window when the 49ers took him. That pick never made much sense to me because it was a high pick, 3rd round I believe, for a position that was considered a strength for them.

Well, they also don't really run the read option much, which he would have been great in. He's a versatile back, but they don't really use him as such. I hope they do cut him, and I hope he goes somewhere that actually knows how to use him.

Any chance Rashaad Reynolds lasts 15 more picks? I would love for Minnesota to pick him up too. We need help in our defensive backfield, and he would be great for us.

James was brought in to compete with Kendall hunter for the change of pace back behind gore, and to return kicks. Hunter beat him out. I love me some lmj tho, wish he could have showed more.

Ok, we got Exum instead. He's no Beaver, but he's got good size for a DB. Now just grab a stud O-lineman with the next pick and I'm happy. That Canadian dude would be nice, or Henderson from Miami.

5 picks coming up for the Cowboys next round. Id take a guess that almost all will be defensive picks. Need bodies on D and you never know one or two might stick

no reason to grab a QB in this draft. Romos around for at least three more seasons.

I'm not banking on it, Rhal. Back injuries tend to be recurring and he's already altered his game in the last two seasons. That said, QB was never really a reality this draft anyway. The best hope was getting Murray late, but I don't think he impressed them at his pro day. Probably have to address early next year.
