I remember seeing both of these plays live...and let me tell you,especially during the Kobe one, I literally fell out of my seat.
I remember both of these also, and being a Howard fan felt bad for him, but those are awesome. It can happen to anyone though, once someone gets going full speed to the rim and jumps, it's hard to jump up and block them no matter who you are.
To me, what was most impressive wasn't the fact that he posterized Dwight, how he he got, or any of that, but rather how quickly he took off the ground. He was running at like full speed, and since he was already crouched he just took off in the blink of an eye without any knee bending. Check out the 2nd view of the dunk in the video to see what I mean. This caught Dwight off guard, and you got your poster.

Dwight is a big, that's what happens to bigs. Bill Russell's gotten dunked on, Wilt's gotten dunked on, Kareem, Unseld, Walton, Parish, A-Train, Hakeem.... the list goes on, it's not Dwights fault. Although, almost getting jumped over is pretty bad.
Don't forget about Ewing! He was a permanent victim of Jordan and Pippen!I can't remember anyone dunking on Shaq.... well, of course it must have happened, but not often.
