Anyone ever been? They just opened a place in Portland. Might try it out for mothers day.

Price of 50$ is pretty steep but sounds amazing.

It looks like a chain version of many high end restaurants that already exist in Portland.

I've been to the Beverly Hills branch a few times. Here its $58. Its ok. You have to get the right cuts of meat that you like and stick with those. Salad bar is pretty good, people will say its "AMAZING" but its ok. Just stick with the cheeses and the hearts of palm. Also make sure to ask for some chimichurri (and they have a few other accompaniments).

Not the best Churrascuria I've been to, but its pretty good. I liked Sal de Carvao in Chicago which I think is closed now and Texas de Brazil. Just don't go when its supercrowded or if there's a groupon going on, it gets crowded as fuck and annoying.

Definitely go before you go to Brazil so you have a point of reference.

If it were up to me, I'd much rather drop $50pp at Ox.

We have both in Vegas. Haven't been to Fogo but have been to Texas a couple of times.

    Loved it.

I've read yelp reviews of both and it seems like a toss up either way here at least.

I was going to ask after reading your post, why not just go to Ox.

edit: have you been out to The Firehouse, while in town? It seems like your kind of place. You can get a 30$ three course with a lot of varying flavors going on. I wasn't a fan, but my wife loves it.

Ox is bomb, but I think I had this conversation once (I'm thinking it may have been with you, as you had mentioned Firehouse during that conversation, and I tried it out of that, and it was solid).

Firehouse is great, especially sitting outside on a nice day. And not crazy prices.

    Ox I love, but spendy.

Other restaurants to mention in the same breath include Andina, Toro Bravo and Loncoln.

I have not been to Fogo yet, but have reservations for the 29th for a Birthday meal.

Trebol and Nuestra Cocina are great places too. The Chile Rellano at Nuestra Cocina is remarkable.

I ate the sweet bread and blood sausage at OX. But cerviche makes me uncomfortable and the thought of sea urchin cerviche makes me nauseous.
