Solarte? Next season will he be Cano's permanent replacement, or Jeter's?

I really like this kid. But what the hell is he chewing on, is it a huge wad of gum or is it that disgusting chaw these guys chew on.

Good Q...I'd put him at 2nd...on a short leash...! What about you Rick? (I haven't looked at his SS vs 2nd Defensive Fldg Pctg yet).

The season is long still, and I'd not talk contracts with Solarte til years end...! (does that mean he'd jump to Seattle, if he were not spoken Contracts til Tulo is Kidnapped, given a facelift and pinstripes)...?

No you're right Rob it is still a little to early to make a call on Solarte. But so far I'm very impressed.

As far as Tulo, DAMN! I'd love to see him in Yankee pinstripes but honestly I really just don't see it EVER happening. For starters I don't think there is a rock big enough for the owners of the Rockies to hide under if they ever got rid of there franchise player. Its just not going to happen until his contract is over which happens after the team option year of 2021 when he'll be 37 years old. They did great in locking him up when they did.

    16M this year followed by 20M over the next 5 seasons (2015-2019) In 2020 he's due 14M & then as mentioned a 15M TEAM option for 2021.

And then you have to think about how well he'd do as a right handed hitter away from the thin air of Colorado. But like I said..........not gonna happen.

At this particular point in time I'd say the former incumbent 3rd Baseman has lost his job and hopefully the Yankees will find a way to prevent his return. I like Solartes' game, dude hustles and is readjusting to major league pitching.

Yep...I'm too painfully aware of Tulo's big contract, so much so, all I can do is dream we had him already on the Roster for next year. Wishful thinking and day dreaming on my part...!

We wouldn't want the good folks of Colorado to get upset, or lose the best thing they have...!
