Someone made a post a while back explaining some scenarios. Rolo and Will are team options, so technically we could renounce them, but I don't see that happening.
Is eric bledsoe an option? My guess is he ends up with the lakers for > 10mil per but he and Neil are supposedly very close
He's an RFA though. I don't see Phoenix letting him walk for nothing. Plus, even if we did sign him, where do you play him?
starting sg or backup guard who plays 30 m p g. He can guard PGs and there are really no big sgs that post up defenders anymore.
Hinrich has always been a better player playing off someone. Right now he's basically the 2nd best offensive player on that team. Hinrich can lead a team, can still spot up and shoot. But with the way the bulls play his 3's come late in the shot and are 99.99% of the time desperation "hit the rim" type of 3's. If he could play off of a star, he'd still be a good role player. But playing off of Carlos Boozer... won't cut it.. And hes just not the kind of player that gets his own shot.
You can do a lot worse then Hinrich as a backup PG. Certainly shouldn't be starting (like he was forced into) but he is above average off the bench.
I wonder if we could work out a deal with Houston. I know they want to go after Melo. I would love to take Beverley off their hands. I think Melo would like to play with Lin again.
He ought to be the #1 target this summer. Isaiah Thomas would be mine but he's not as attainable as Bradley.
Why would Melo want to play with Lin? Linsanity happened when Melo was out. When Melo came back, they never gelled and then Lin got hurt.
I think an underrated center acquisition would be Bismack Biyombo. His post defense has improved every year and posted a 99 DRtg this year. Only 21, and it looks like Cho is committed to Jefferson and Zeller.
I think the Blazers can re-sign him at 120% of his last season's salary. I'm guessing he's a cap hold until signed elsewhere or renounced.
I'm a Bulls' fan. I saw at least 75 games this year on NBALP. Hinrich sucks. He's only good for the Bulls because their strategy is to use up the 24 second clock to slow the game down - they were 29th in pace this season. He doesn't turn the ball over, so that helps. He sucks at 3pt shooting, at 2pt shooting, at passing, and at defense anymore. I have seen the guys defending him just leave him alone so they can play free safety or double team. His 3pt shots are all wide open looks. In no way is he the 2nd best offensive player on the team. Boozer, Taj, Noah, Augustin, and Dunleavy Jr. are easily better options on offense. Butler, too.
I still think we should cash in one of our streaky wing players (aka Nic or Wes). We have a logjam of shooting guards, so I'm leaning heavily towards Wes. He's due for a raise in the not-so-distant future, so I think I would trade him to try to acquire a few other pieces. I love what Wes does, but we have too many streaky players in our starting lineup.
Clogged gutter maybe, but not even remotely a log jam. In fact it could be argued that its our weakest position top to bottom.
