...you're down 3 runs, 2 runners on base, the pitcher is already having trouble getting the ball over the plate, the count is 2-0...and you're fucking hacking? ...nice rally-killing DP, dumbass.
...I just don't get it...I mean the pitcher was already in trouble and you at least gotta make him throw a strike. The Yanx had Tex ready with a bat in his hand waiting to get a chance to tie the game up...but Jeter pulls that bone head play?...I could understand a rookie doing something like that but not your Captain.
I haven't seen the amount of games this year I wasWTF- is w expecting to see, not even close. Yet, the couple a week I do see, I have yet to see a Runner Stealing 2nd, with a good quality throw or catch. More often than not, the throw is off target, improperly fielded, and the runner is most often SAFE. WTF? -(#1) It seems the norm this year, is ERRORS, X 3. I have seen but pnly a couple runners thrown out stealing 2nd. The NORM I see, is the ball bounces in the dirt, or sails wide or high of the man covering 2nd. WTF -(#2) On top of this, I have seen more errors in the field by all players, (most Teams-tho' I can't speak for the Bombers). This year, tho' still young, will be one in my Annals, as the year from hell....when... 1-Catcher's cannot routinely throw a runner out (less Yadier Molina who runners do not usually bother to steal against). 2- SS and 2nd basemen, are not either covering the bag proper, or fumble what few good throws they get. 3-A MLB comedy of errors overall- I haven't bothered to look at AL/NL error totals as of May 11th, versus other past years. But it seems more teams are creating more errors this year than ever before..... To often Pro's are the worst at utilizing Fundamentals than any other age group of ball players. They get to take it for granted, as if, they can field a ball blindfolded. Is it just me, or does this errant play appear to be more the norm this year to you? Here's the norm for the Bums. Friday's game: With the Shift on, Hanley Ramirez is playing a few feet in the grass in-line with 2nd base. Dee Gordon played deep on the grass at 2nd. A hard hit ball, (with a runner on 1st) hit to Gordon, he turns to throw to 2nd base, and Hanley is standing dead in his tracks not even moving to 2nd for a double play. Gordon makes an attempt to throw to 2nd, while Ramirez doesn't move. Gordon turns to 1st and fires, beyond the outstretched glove of Gonzo. The ball sails wide of Gonzo, who runs in foul territory to throw the ball home, (yes the 1st base runner is on his way home). Gonzo's throw is 10 feet out of reach by the Catcher. The run scores, on but 1 error. 1 ERROR. IMO, Ramirez failure to cover, was error #1, Gordon's throw #2, Gonzo's #3. Bums get charged with but one error. Bums are averaging almost an error per game so far. As are many teams. I just don't get it, anymore...Is it me, or has anyone else felt the same..! If its just me, say so, and I will crawl back in my cave, maybe watch more Hockey...!
