Ok, let me try this without me sounding like a dick, because when re reading it I can see how you can take it as me jumping down your throat... Without trying to be a dick let me ask you....start game 1 in Montreal with Talbot? No..i think we both will agree to that...now lets say Hank is horrible and gives up 6 goals....are you pulling him not to start game 2 because of the building, even though he has history of being a top notch goalie...again I don't think so... so we both agree that he wouldn't sit in games 3 and 4 at home, no reason since he is not a house of horrors at MSG. that leaves game 5 or 7...this is not Andy Moog and Grant Fuhr we are talking about. You're not under any circumstances having Hank not start an ECF finals game. I'm not talking about the occurrence of a goalie getting pulled. I'm talking about going into the games as a starter.
I understand the thought process, Hank has never done well in that city, only issue is..this is the playoffs there is a huge difference between a regular season game up there and a playoff game.
That's the thing Al. We don't have a differing opinion. Hank is in such a zone that he carry us to the Cup himself. I am NOT in any way Advocating playing Talbot over Hank. At the same time if we play Montreal and Hank has a bad G1, I'd be willing to bet you that some reporter asks AV if he considers playing Cam in G2 because of how well he did in that building. It's not a silly question given the history. Even though we all know what the answer is. We will probably be playing Boston so it won't matter but I was just throwing it out there before it would be asked of AV.
No worries Al. I haven't posted often until the playoffs but I have read almost all the comments posted on this board from day 1. I know what you're saying about others. 1 in particular.
