This was my favorite development from game 4. They played great together and both have good enough handles to bring the ball up the floor. They can initiate the offense. Obviously Dame has great moments for us but when he needs to go to the bench next season this could be lethal lineup against opponents. There is so much length in that backcourt to smother the opposition defensively. Barton lead college in some rebounding stats and Batum lead the NBA in defensive rebounding one month this season. The length and athleticism of those two as a PG and SG is awesome. It gives us flexibility to go with TRob or Aldridge as an undersized center but still be a beast of a team in so many facets of the game.

I'm kind of hoping we get a SF in place of Mo next year off the bench, so he can come in along with Barton as a guard. Then only carry one emergency PG in Watson's place, who doesn't play at all outside of Lillard fouls or injury.

Just now it also made me reminisce of the last season Pippen played for us. We finally moved Damon out of the starting lineup and had Pippen play in his place. That was freaking awesome! If only we had done that for more of his time here. Lets see it Stotts!

Barton playing backup PG will make it easier for CJ to play backup SG alongside him. Could we be fortunate enough for Crabbe to develop into a legit backup 3 as well? If so, this summer could be HUGE for this team.

IF that happened we'd need at least one strong scorer/passer in the post to anchor us. Would love Gasol.
