    Maybe he wanted a bigger spotlight or more say in what goes on and with Phil Jackson in NYC you know he will never have that.

    Man, I can't believe they went with a guy with zero coaching experience. They replaced a guy who completely turned around that franchise and instead went with a guy who has never coached. The NBA is so stupid sometimes.

    I read that NBA coach salaries have gone down. Kerr will get $5M per year, the same as McMillan 10 years ago, and less than McMillan after his 5-year contract ended. McMillan was 2nd-highest in the league back then, under Jackson. Paul Allen was overpaying for everything. McMillan would probably be highest, now.

    I read Kerr was looking at $9M per season from the Knicks. Maybe he asked but they said no.
