Okay, TA's been playing like a disaster, and with Big Al out, we'll probably need another big body in town. so here are two suggestions:Trade #1Boston Receives:Reggie EvansDenver Receives:Tony AllenBrian ScalabrineWhy for Boston?-Reggie Evans is a sick rebounder, one of the best in the league pound for pound. Why for Denver?-They have too much depth at the PF and not enough at the wings. they could use TA's perimeter defense.Trade #2Boston Receives:Brendan HaywoodWashington Receives:Tony AllenBrian ScalabrineWhy for Boston?-Basically same reason as above, only Haywood can play Center, and might be more available (he's been having some problems with the staff and his teammates in WAS).Why for Washington?-One of the East's worst defensive teams could use TA's perimeter defense, or even scab's for that matter, as sad as it is.
Either or, doesn't matter to me. I would love to see Evans or Haywood in a Celts uni. Evans seems more likely and more sensible for both teams, as they arent trading interconference.
I really dont think either one of these will work. TA and Scabs are extreme liabilities on defense, and it is hard to even find a decent center sometimes in this league, so I dont think Washington would give up haywood. Even though Thomas is the one playing great for them right now. The Reggie Evans could possibly work, but TA and Scabs would never play on Denver anyways..
woops, I meant to say offense. I swear.... my bad. But honestly, Allen turns the ball over just about once every minute that he is in the game. He cant handle the ball and his jumpshot is awful. He also makes dumb mistakes on the fastbreak. As for Scabs, he is non existant when he is on the floor. Any player can do what he can do...
The Nuggets one - eh I don't like it. Reggie Evans will be great for this team, for this month. But once we are healthy (Big Al), all Evans will do is take some minutes away from Big Al/Gomes, and I am sick of having them held back. Let them play, let them develope. No sense in bringing in a mediocre veteran at this point, especially when we could have our future Reggie Evans in Leon Powe already. The Wizards one, I would do it... probably. I mean Haywood would be nice, but we have Ratliff who is a defensive force and Perk will be a good center once he learns to stop hacking. Haywood would screw with Perk's confidence/development. Plus, we are paying Perk 4 mill a year now, why get a vet big man to go along with him and our other center who is a better shot blocker and making 12 mill a year? Washington wouldn't do it anyway, Stevenson is lightyears ahead of TA, they have him at league mininum, and they already have Jarvis Hayes and Antonio Daniels off the bench. About Scal, they already have Songaila, who is WAY better. Not to mention, they wouldn't have a backup center if they dealt haywood for two bench warmers.

I don't think Denver can afford to lose Reggie Evans considering Marcus Camby's, Nene's and Martin's injury problems. Ed Najera and Joe Smith will both be getting around 15-20 minutes a game if one of them goes down they are in trouble. I think JR Smith and Dermarr Johnson are good enough for the time being but I'm sure they'd love to add Tony Allen. I really doubt the Wizards would give away Brendan Haywood with DeShawn Stevenson and Jarvis Hayes playing SG.
Reggie Evans is completely buried on the bench. nene isn't an injury-prone player, he just had one serious freak injury last year.

Camby will miss games as usual. BCB makes a good point, and with the injuries Evans is needed. If Camby goes down, like always, Evans is really the only guy that can even try to fill in for his rebounding.
